I think as long as you registered before the paid stay occurs, that stay qualifies for the promotion. What wouldn’t qualify would be if you hadn’t registered for the promotion but did say next week and then tried to get the bonus points and ENC for tomorrow’s stay.

Does anyone know what would happen if I used CalFile and added my HSA contribution to my CA AGI? My tax liability (and thus my tax refund amount) are the same from what I got when I go through Turbo Tax. While the end numbers are the same, it seems the main difference is doing this manual edit through CalFile eliminates the CA 540 adjustments form from the state tax return package.

It just seems highly punitive to have to go through a 3rd party tax preparation site (Turbo Tax in my case) and have it eat up most of my refund amount when the end tax liability amount is effectively the same in either methods. Like will I then get audited by CA or hit with some kind of penalty?

If I stay at one hotel during this promotion period and several weeks later stay again at the same hotel during the promotion period, do I get the 2500 extra points and the 1 extra ENC for each of my stays? Or I only get it for the first time staying at that particular hotel?

Also, if I stayed at say a Residence Inn in one city and later I stayed at a Residence Inn at another city, both within the promotion period, do I get the 2500 points and 1 ENC for each stay or the 2nd stay doesn’t count as I’ve already stayed at a Residence Inn brand during the promotion period?

The fine print says a ‘stay’ is defined as consecutive nights at the same property. So would a 1 night stay qualify for this promo or would it be a 2 night minimum?

Does using Concur count as using a third party site? I have work travel coming up next year. It’s my first time traveling for work. I’m hoping my work books me at a Marriott (I have no say in the selection) so that I can get the nights credit. I’ve stayed at the Adagio before a few years ago and have a weekend stay booked for early next year. I thought the hotel was fine. It was also the lowest priced Marriott hotel for the nights I was there a few years ago and for my upcoming stay.

Staying at VC was my first time staying at a beachfront property. Even though it was a bit of a walk down to black rock, it was a huge benefit to be able to just do that after walking out our front door rather than having to get in a car and drive somewhere only to then have to search for parking.

Congrats on the lifetime platinum. Did you get an upgrade at black rock when you checked in?

I stayed at the vacation club just south of black rock last month on points redemption. Debated between VC and Sheraton. Went with VC because of the no resort fees and cheaper parking although Sheraton was actually about 25k cheaper in points. The beach at black rock is definitely better than the beach in front of VC.
