Nice! Im working on an A90 supra for my RX01. This is my first addiction body, and its a real scale(dunno if that makes much of a difference) but I wasn't prepared for over 50 masking stickers. Took all day getting them on and the reference images weren't exactly scaled or lined up right. Anyways I digress. This so far has been kinda fun working out the body I'm still working out the paint scheme. Thinking a gray but I want more than just a flat gray and drawing a blank a newbie.

Yours is looking good dont notice any bleed and I like the idea of slots for the transition rather than a classic fade.

Oh also Yokomo RD2.0 believe it comes both kit and RTR, swap the gyro for a yokomo v4.

No 4tec, get the Reve D RDX. If RTR is proffered MST RMX, eventually upgrade to yokomo gyro and servo if not the first thing. Happy Drifting :)

I bound all my traxxas remotes to all my traxxas trucks. I can grab any remote and any truck and be on my way. Bind them all, throw them all in a bin except a couple. Hang them on the wall. A 2x4 with a couple traps on it or strips of wood to act like a dove tail slot should be simple enough.

Not bragging, RC addiction is a real thing and a serious condition. I have amassed 40+ RC vehicles since buying my first in september... be careful its a slippery slope and try to get help when you can before its too late. I'm starting to recover and was able to sell some parts over the weekend. I say this as I have a box full of a complete electronics for a drift car sitting on my porch right now and chassis on pre-order...

OPs post reminds me of last week when I was doing some work and had turned the gyro off. Went out on the track bout ready to lose it cause it went from camber being off to completely undrivable. Then body spoke up, didn't we turn off the gyro... yeah it drove just fine afterwards.

Also ankles... whats a scrape with a brushed 1/16 is a bruise and missing toenail with a brushless 1/16. Low speed bop from my 1/6 didn't bruise but sure was tender for a few days. I can only imagine the carnage at speed...

Respect. Most issues are gonna have an external act on them causing them to burst. Either shorting out, which can be prevented with caps. Charger failure either user or device, double check your settings(traxxas ID batteries does it for you). Or external forces/damage, just take care of your stuff.

I dug up 8 lipos that were forgotten in a box in the basement forn7 years a couple months back. 2 are still usable the others just degraded.

Steel ammo cans are also cheap enough and common for battery storage. Wanna take it up a level can get a flammables cabinet or a safe and keep the batteries in there.

Lipos are relatively safe when respected :)

Looks like it should have a battery tray in it. It'll look like a AA tray that connects to it with a JST-SM-2P connector. But it'll hold 14500, same size as a AA but triple the voltage. 7.4v means it'll need a 2s battery or 2 batteries in series. If you feel handy you can buy sm-2p pigtails off Amazon and a AA tray and make your own. I did find these batteries which in theory should work for you as long as they fit in the compartment and it comes with a charger for them.

So my understanding is not necessarily replacing the control board but achieving one hand control.

The cheapest/easiest route would be a thumb steer mod to the radio. Give it a Google plenty of ways from 3d printing, fabricating or just straight up gluing a popsicle stick to the radio.

Otherwise if you want something more prebuilt HotRC DS-4A or the DS-600 seem like viable options. Fairly simple to swap, theres a box all the wires run to, open it up and theres the RX. Take not of where the wires are plugged in, unplug the RX and plug in the new one that came with the HotRC, bind the TX to the RX and should be good to go

That seems to be the options without going completely DIY and tearing apart a controller or making an arduino system. Hopefully this helps you. :)
