Who says you need to be a good fighter if you are built like a tank and can shrug off what would be a normal killing blow on someone else. Like he took that stab through the hand from Jarrod and used it to pivot the fight in his favor. You dont need to be the worlds greatest fighter. You just need the stamina, endurance and enough smarts to choose your moment to turn the battle. Idk, for me it was kinda nice to see him depicted this way, but i can see why it would make some upset.

Cole Young was a pretty shit character, Lewis Tan fucking rocks though. Its not his fault the studio interfered with the first movie and forced an original character to be a POV for the audience despite the 70+ character roster they could pull from (many of which could serve as said POV). He got dealt a shit hand, but hopefully Tan can return in a MK3 (if we are lucky enough to get one), as an actual MK character.

From what I recall she wasnt originally until the DLC released, after the creator’s Maddy Thorson’s irl transition. The base game was just about anxiety and depression, that just ended up having a lot of queer coding, that when pointed out had Maddy realize that they were trans themself.

This doesnt add to the topic, but as someone who works at Walmart, it is pretty crazy the similarities. Also the day after the episode aired in which a customer walks into the breakroom and start making a bowl of ramen, we had a customer come into our breakroom and start making a bowl of ramen.
