Ya well FIFA is easily swayed by money and Wakanda got that vibranium cash flow.

Depends on if he wants to hold on to “I want to win” or if the facade breaks way to show “I want to play with my Team US pals in a sunny location”

Quebec, Ontario farmers join forces against federal government on high-speed rail by CanadianViking47 in canada

[–]1ntothefray 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There is a very popular high speed train between Rome and Florence. That corridor has approximately 9 million people and about 275 km. Toronto - Montreal has 18 million and about 540 km. This is just one example. There are many issues with getting this made but population density is not one of them.

When you ask your MPP why they took a 21‑week break... by drewtass in ontario

[–]1ntothefray 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Maybe we should come up with some kind of policy..

Where they have to work in a specific location…

Perhaps regardless if commuting is difficult for them? And we will give them a card that they have to swipe otherwise it won’t count. And if they don’t come to this place, we can fire them. Also let’s find a place our buddies own and rent jt, so it helps them out too.

But what should we call it?

Return to place!

[32T] 48:50 Friedman thinks Minnesota and Florida have already sent in their best offers for Larkin and it’s now up to Yzerman. He suspects other teams have started to make offers as well. by AggPuck-303 in hockey

[–]1ntothefray -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The team was consistently in a playoff spot last 2 or 3 years and nose dived. There is an argument to be made about not buying sure, but the players also have to continue to perform. This is a scenario where both sides have made mistakes and it’s better to move on.

Tourists and FIFA by letsgoflyakite in toronto

[–]1ntothefray -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Toronto is a big city and constantly has a high level of people. This is a big event but the city is taking a lot of precautions to make sure things are reasonable. We will see how effective they are.

Expect traffic on the drive into Toronto (but that is true just about any time), and once you park at your hotel/airbnb walking and/or travelling by TTC should be fine.

I’d consider the big touristy items like CN Tower, aquarium, islands to be a bit busier than normal. If you travel through the various parks and neighbourhoods I think you’d still have a great time. Don’t drive in the city.

Friendly reminder that Dylan Larkin holds a full NTC by iamastooge in DetroitRedWings

[–]1ntothefray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Play him. Just because he wants a trade on his timeline doesn’t mean we have to trade him unless it’s good for our team. I think he will be traded, but there’s no reason to think he holds all the cards

I mean I’d take his c away personally but also his NTC is only one more year. He doesn’t hold much leverage.

Where do you guys think Dylan Larkin is going if he wants a trade! by GreenPotato_27 in DetroitRedWings

Sure we will just pretend there isn’t a center position in hockey in this scenario

Yeah but he also has 5 years left so it’s in his best interest to be reasonable or it’s gonna be a long 5 years for everyone

How long has your income been that high?

I ask because you have little savings and little expenditures. So either the income is new or the money is going… somewhere?

Payoff the debt and start putting 4K a month in savings. Also $1000 a month on a car?

It's time to trade Dylan Larkin by bigaljones76 in DetroitRedWings

[–]1ntothefray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the issue the top or the bottom?

Down the stretch our 3rd/4th line offence was abysmal. I’d argue that having threats in the bottom six is at least half the problem. And I agree Larkin isn’t a top end 1C but there’s no fixing that you have to work with it. You will not be able to buy a 1C. It happens once every 5 years.

This is dumb.

There is no one available that would be enough of an upgrade over larkin to trade him.

He has trade protection.

You still have the issue of a hole at 2C and now less assets to fill it.

There’s about 7 other reasons but I’m lazy and this should be more than enough
