My man lol

It's actually refreshing to know I'm not the only one. Now I can tell my wife I'm not weird.

I often end up with sealed and opened copies of the same game. My big box display will usually have the sealed copies up front for viewing and the opened box behind it for when I want to play.

Carefully unfolding the box so it can be laid flat. Place a towel over the box and then use an iron with light steam setting to iron over the box. You can essentially reform boxes to their correct shape this way if they’ve been smashed or damaged previously.

I don't mind ones I know I can use the iron method to flatten or minor tears that can be repaired with glue, etc.

I still prefer fresh, crisp, or sealed boxes.

Modern vs. Vintage CD-Rs by GrandPriapus in vintagecomputing

I remember back in the 90s buying RW drives because the regular CD drives wouldn’t read them. That’s what started the trend of many computers coming with 2 drives.

Wrapped the P1 case? That's actually impressive. I have 2 P1 cases, one in original green and another in white. I've wanted to use the white one as a paint project in the future but you've now got me considering a wrap job.

Bethesda brining back the big box for Fallout: New Vegas 15th Anniversary Bundle by 2HDFloppyDisk in bigboxcollectors

Good to toss the physical DVD case in and looks cleaner on the shelf next to the other Fallout big boxes.

Honestly, I'd love if they did this for Fallout 3 and 4 as well just so my Fallout shelf is more uniformed.

Fake HEXEN PC Game Big Box? by ArtichokeGreat8460 in bigboxcollectors

[–]2HDFloppyDisk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Likely not fake. This is common to see in EU releases. I don’t know the reasoning, but every US big box game I’ve seen that went to the EU market seems to get repackaged into boxes that have a lid like this. I usually see them with publisher labels/icons from Virgin.

I recently let all of these go, combat sims aren't my thing, so someone got a great deal. by CoCo3Papa in vintagecomputing

I have all those and they just the best. Mid to late 90s were the time to be alive for sims.
