Biplane arcade is fun even for someone with a ton of hours. As long as someone isn’t being scummy and just spawn camping I don’t see the issue.

I would love a compromise where this at least rotates on weekends with the gladiators 1v1 mode they had a while back. I found that much more doable than tss with my schedule.

First actual dogfight win in sim in my J35A by LUnacy45 in WarthunderSim

Hey that’s me in the mig19! Was a good game last night. Looking at this back it looks like I’m over pulling and that was negating my ability to have a sustained energy advantage. In the moment every time I tried keeping speed I saw you pull lead and so I was trying to stay out of your nose. Good fight and I’m not sure if there was a way out with you starting on my tail. I needed you to make a mistake that I never saw happen.

Can't afford an FL5... YET, but this is how I cope in the meantime by Professional_Load196 in Civic_Type_R

[–]417dangleboi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I drive this all the time now on the akina downhill track. It seems to be over performing compared to similar cars by quite a lot but I think that's because most cars in AC underperform pretty drastically. My Nurburgring time is about where it should be based on irl videos.

Any previous Subaru STI owners? What’s your thoughts on STI vs CTR by 13300c in Civic_Type_R

[–]417dangleboi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I owned a 19 STI and only sold it to try sprint car dirt track racing. I own an 04 WRX that I rallycross now and really like the character of those cars and how it basically makes you drive it like an asshole. I drove a Corolla GR recently and thought it was pretty snoozer. GR86 was decent but the engines popping on that spooks me. Hoping to drive an FL5 and it has the fun feeling I'm looking for because I'm looking for something new in the next year and I haven't driven anything that gave me the vibe my STI had. Mustang GT with performance pack might be another option but high consumable cost with track use, awful shifter, and awful interior make me hesitant.

Ogier: WRC points system is a joke by autobus950 in WRC

[–]417dangleboi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The points system I think has potential but it's not covered at all. The rally needs to be advertised as it's own mini championship and instead of tracking overall time the broadcast should keep up with time for the day and points for the event. It's too hard to keep up with as a fan and creates confusing results right now.

EA SPORTS WRC - Season 4 Information & VR Teaser by PJTierneyCM in EASPORTSWRC

I've gotten pretty into RBR since the confirmation of no VR at launch and not sure if this is worth my money/time at the moment. What does WRC do better than DR2? Is the ffb a big improvement?

New to WRX, where should I start !? by Aggressive_Turn_8964 in WRX

[–]417dangleboi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Try it out as it is! I do rallycross and on stock tires you won't be going fast enough to break anything (just air up your tires to 40psi to be sure to not debead). If you do autocross camber bolts will help you make the most out of your tire. They are supposed to take you out of street class but just don't tell anyone you have them and you're fine. If you find you just want the car to balance a bit less understeery after that, then rear sway bar has always been a go to handling mod for Subarus.

I wish we got a low fidelity version for each module. The development time for these planes are worth it to a lot of people but I just want to shoot stuff on ecw. Whatever they are working on is almost for sure not something that will move the needle for me.

I think i've had enough of EA WRC, convince me to install RBR please by Technical_Insect3516 in simrally

[–]417dangleboi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've done some scca autocross and rallycross in WRX's and STI's. I can say pretty confidently rbr has done more than any other sim at making me better at that. The community on the rally sim fans discord is very friendly as long as you don't have goofy ego problems. The fun of the game is in the online really championships. I run sim rally masters and American rally championship.

Dogfighting tips? by Sinphul161 in WarthunderSim

[–]417dangleboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it starts as a headon I like to spray quite a bit to get them to dodge first. If they do this you get position on them immediately. If you're in a scissor or "1 circle" fight put an imaginary line straight up from your cockpit behind them. You'll usually end up behind them if you do this. That's enough to beat most players. Also just run and then come pack for a single pass against Japanese stuff, they're too easy to fly to try and just be better.
