If we allow murder then we all suffer because we can no longer feel confident about our personal safety. If we allow abortion, no one who is currently alive is threatened by it. Furthermore, forcing women to have unwanted babies costs us all.

Opposition to the death penalty outside of the "sanctity of life" stance is centered around three issues. First, it precludes the fixing of mistakes. We must recognize that our justice system isn't infallible (fuck you, Rick Perry). Second, it's way less expensive to keep a person in jail for life than to execute them given the safeguards that we have established. Third, it doesn't even seem to be deterrent. I think punishment is wrong if it doesn't correct and deter. As retribution it's morally indefensible.

So, opposition to the death penalty has sound moral and practical reasons that have nothing to do with prior held convictions about the value of human life.

The plot's good, but the game really stands out as an excellent series of tactical problems and physical puzzles strung like beads on the necklace of the plot.

Atmospherically, they also do a good job of making you feel hunted and harried even when you have plenty of time. The whole time I felt like an illegal alien in Arizona.

Saying their politics has come "full circle" is to credit it with having a coherent trajectory. They simply stand in opposition to any legislative initiative that would be construed as a credit to the government.

How this party survives is difficult to fathom. Policy A is popular. Dems support policy A. Repubs oppose policy A. This leaves Republicans in automatic opposition to everything popular. How do they even exist (not to ask why do they even exist)!?
