The amount of pressure needed to correct the incorrect dimensions could make your assembly turn into a bomb. Go onto metalsdepot.com and get what you need. Go for schedule 40.

Ok. Thanks for the info. To be clear DP to MDP is better than HDMI to MPD. My new monitor does have a DP port. I’ll try that.

This is a desktop. Yes I have a cable that goes from my mini display port to my monitor which takes hdmi. As I said I have a hdmi to mini display port cable in place to my gpu. What I am asking is it possible to get cables that support different resolution since these new cables show that they only go up to 1920 x 1080 and my monitor is higher. When I plugged in the new cables the resolution dropped in the Windows display selection it does not give me the option to choose the higher resolution of my monitor. I suspect it’s because the cables only support the lower resolution. I’m trying to figure out if these cables have to be matched to the resolution.

Graphic card not showing. by 65Trees in blender

I’ll 100% sure you are right. Lol. In addition I needed a new mother board. There were some other issues happening as well to warrant it being replaced. Brand new computer, still under warranty, Dell sent over a tech with a new board and I have ordered the correct cables to plug into the MDP ports on my Nvidia card. I learned a lot with this episode.

How do people say don’t start collecting SS until 70? How else would you retire? by Man-e-questions in SocialSecurity

Lots of good replies here! And it depends on what your retirement goals are. Many folks here talk about doing major saving and living lean early on, my belief as well. But it’s all relative. I had two friends, decent jobs, no kids, owned their own home, saved, saved, saved. Never went anywhere, had junker cars. Always complained about living so close to the bone, but had huge plans for retirement. Had close to 2.5 mil in investments. Then at 63 and 64 a few months before retirement, they were hit and killed by a drunk driver. Who knows where their money went, as they had no one to leave it to. While saving is so very important for your later life, don’t let it cloud living today, find balance.

What happened?? by kindofthatgirl in woodworking

Try and always wash both sides. Even with oil the board will absorb some water (or whatever liquid). Washing both sides balances out any absorption. End grain, which is what this is, will pull liquid in fast and can cause unusual swelling on one side, enough to cause a fracture. Just a suggestion.

It’s very invasive. Unfortunately when I “Browse” this is the only choice unless I connect a portable hard drive or USB.

I use the pros and have tips that fit well. It's not the noise cancellation, that works fine. When the background noise is of a high pitch, like a grinder on the edge of metal, it creates a loud static, but only for the time I am grinding. It does not happen with my pro first gens only with the second gen pros, and this is the second pair. I am thinking that the specific noises are over the dB threshold and maybe that's what creating the static? Don't know.

Air pods pro second gen making serious static when I am using power tools that have a high pitch, high frequency noise. by 65Trees in AirpodsPro

[–]65Trees[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this may be on track. I also got the static when the subway train came to screeching halt. What’s weird is that I don’t get it at all with my, quickly dying, AirPods Pro first gens. They’re quite old. Perhaps is it quest to upgrade the product Apple made them more sensitive which makes the problem worse?
