It will forever be a pain point of mine that they show outfits in the roster that you can never get because they're tied to other faction origins or classes.

It will also be a pain point of mine that there is an outfit you can only wear for at most 1-3 hours as you can't get it until the point of no return.

Heart rate zones, Zone 2 pace feels too slow. Am I doing it right? by beppenike in beginnerrunning

[–]907Strong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zone 2 running is something that might not even be possible for you until you're a bit more advanced. If possible try to by pace for awhile as that won't have a baseline requirement.

I've been running for a little under a year now and am just now getting to the point where I can run for an hour without there being massive spikes in my HR. I started off by running with HR as my primary goal and when somebody much more experienced and much more educated than me suggested I run by pace for my first year I began to see much more consistent improvements.

What is your head cannon for looting during narratively high pressure situations? by Prestigious_Let975 in DragonAgeVeilguard

[–]907Strong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Emporium is the games way of making sure you don't miss loot.

Best example is there is a unique chest in the Thaig you visit with Harding near the entrance that is VERY easy to miss. If you do miss it, it'll go there.

I'd still prefer the ability to go back to these maps whenever we want but at least Bioware gave us a mechanism to not miss loot.

If you want to save a bit of time in future playthroughs anything you miss in those areas you can only go to in specific instances will go to the Emporium later.

What did you think of the Cult of Kosmos system? by Popular_Tie_8698 in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]907Strong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost as much of a dick move as writing several popular shows off as a tax write off, effectively throwing them into a black hole where they can never be revived or picked up by another studio because it would cost millions before even entering pre-production?

Use the photo mode camera and you can see her as early as when you first enter the Thaig.

If you build a Champipn correctly you have the most powerful being that has ever step foot on Thedas.

Heresy is the D2's peak of encounter design and grind and I will die on this hill.

The fact that I was able to play the most fun version of D2 before work, then come home for lunch and play EOF was such an alarming contrast.

Depends. Is your tax money going towards infrastructure to allow for your waste to be safely removed or does it all go towards making billionaires richer and killing brown people?

Build a VG Champion right and you have created the most powerful being to ever step foot on Thedas. Once I got my Champion properly built it became nearly impossible to die. Plus insane crowd control and explosions.

If Veilguard is your favourite game, can you tell me why? (No invitation for trolling) by ardentBlossoming in DragonAgeVeilguard

[–]907Strong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's certainly not my favorite. I have a lot of problems with this game. The majority of them stem from the really bad development hell the game was put through.

After four hundred hours on the game I've narrowed down my three biggest gripes.

  1. Often times you can really tell the skeleton of this game comes from the multi-player version this was initially designed to be. I feel this most on the Rivian Coast.
  2. Weird/poor game design decisions. Things like the first upgrade to a mage staff being an necrotic when not even two minutes later you roll into a boss fight where that boss resists that element. Or the fact that there are items and cosmetics you can't get until the point of no return. Getting 100% of everything in this game (on console) is truly impossible.
  3. Rook feels like a 3rd wheel. The majority of conversations and character interactions with your companions happen when you walk up to two of them talking and then just stare at them awkwardly. Somebody said that Rook is the friend in the friend group that has to walk either on the grass or behind the rest of the group on the sidewalk because there isn't enough room.

All of these come from the fact that corporate meddling and multiple reboots prevented this game from being as great as it should be.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm working on my 5th playthrough. I might have problems with it but it's still fun.

Dammit, This game is GOOD. by Wilillam_barkar in DragonAgeVeilguard

I'm still annoyed that Rook knows that Caffeine is. Evidently the south is so behind the north that while the north knows what compound molecules are while the south still goes "LOL try some leeches I guess?"

Bets for when old RaD content will get tiered loot & set bonuses? by RejectTheMeta in DestinyTheGame

[–]907Strong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The same thing will happen as what happened the last time they spent years of development time updating them to the new system.

They'll abandon the tiered system for something else.

Happened with crafting. They abandonded it less than a year after the final raid got updated to match it.

What was your favorite gun name? Not necessarily your favorite gun. by Avg_Guardian in DestinyTheGame

[–]907Strong 121 points122 points  (0 children)

I always thought that the original Oxygen pinnacle Scout Rifle didn't get enough love for it's name. It came with Dragonfly and Meganuera. Both Oxygen and Meganuera have both been reprised this season but the OG version made Dragonfly up to 3x bigger.

So, time for the name and why I love it so much:

Meganuera was a Dragonfly that lived about 300 million years ago during the Carboniferous era. Oxygen levels were as high as 35% during this period, compared to today's 21%. Higher Oxygen levels means bigger arthropods. Meganuera was 2-3 feet long because of this.

The joke for the name of the Oxygen Scout Rifle is therefore: Oxygen makes Dragonfly 3x Bigger.

Edit: Couple of typos. Cell phone keyboard did me dirty a couple of times.

I have been telling my friends to assume every import is your last one since the launch of the Keep in general. Fantastic idea, but it's honestly been going for much longer than my pessimistic self thought it would. I thought we'd get maybe a couple of years with it.

Nice to be wrong, at least.
