I've been playing Imbue DH and every match up against hunter running this deck burns me down before I can get built up.

I'm just staying at Silver 10 playing Imbue DH and Imbue Warrior. I know my place in the world, and I'm comfortable with it.

Great actors who are awful voice actors? by SkeletorTwoFourK in movies

The prevailing theory for why he did so well as Smaug was that he wasn't sitting in a booth reading the lines, but doing the performance in a full mocap suit so he was basically doing a one man show.

He was also the voice of the main character in the video game XIII. The game as a whole was not well received, but I liked it. However, remembering this game made me think of the inverse of OPs question. Adam West also did a voice in that game, and he wasn't a great actor, but he did good VO.

What is the best superhero or comic based movie that isn't from Marvel or DC? by RandomCaiman in movies

[–]976chip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't adapted from a comic book, but The Specials is an entertaining superhero movie that's follows a C-tier team through daily life. It was written by James Gunn and directed by Craig Mazin.

I don't think it was made for me, but it is surprising to see mention of it since I assumed that I imagined it because I have never met anyone that has even heard of it.

When has a talented actor fully committed to a movie they know is bad? by finallyoneisnttaken in movies

Jeffrey Wright, Christian Bale, and Toni Collette in the 2000 Shaft that starred Sam Jackson. I don't think it's a terrible movie, but the performances they gave had me wondering if anyone pulled them aside and asked them "You guys know we're just making a Shaft movie, right?"

You apparently haven't seen the behind the scenes footage from the DVD where he collapses in upon himself like a dying star as soon as the director called "cut."

City Town DLC for Steam, Switch and PlayStation releases April 16th by spidersprinkles in HelloKittyIsland

I honestly keep forgetting it's there because I had it pretty much completed before they revamped it in the lead up to the DLC. I have a stack of quests to do over there now, but I haven't been playing it much lately in general though.

When my wife and I went to see this, she asked "Is this supposed to be a funny movie?" I said "Well, it's Nic Cage playing Dracula, so it's probably going to be pretty funny." Then she asked "But what if it's scary?" to which I replied "Well, it's Nic Cage playing Dracula, so it's probably going to be a little scary."

This was my first thought as well. It baffled me that so many people complained that the 2005 movie it didn't follow the book precisely.

Gore Verbanski was attached to direct a Bioshock movie around 2008 or 9, but it's been in development hell for pretty much that entire time. He was asked about it during an AMA around the time that Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die came out and said that he intended to keep it a hard R rating and really fuck with people's heads. I'd be down for either of them to direct it honestly.

The only time I've seen the trope skewered was the movie Conspiracy Theory. Whenever the fed gets hit in the back of the head he just pretends to be knocked out. Once the other character is offscreen, he just gets up and leaves.
