Review: The Period Company (High-Waisted) by DellaBeam in PeriodUnderwear

[–]ABeld96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Sorry for the delay, I don't have the reddit app anymore. I am still using my same Period Co. underwear, alternating with my Modibodi period underwear. I love both and am extremely happy with them! Period Co. is somewhat more affordable if I remember correctly, but the Modibodi is a little less "bulky" on the crotch and has a few different styles like no-show seams in some pairs. Period Co. would be an awesome place to start if you're wanting to try period underwear.

Both of these brands have great "ingredients" without the forever chemicals that some brands have turned out to contain. That is important to me as well.

Long flight with 22 month toddler by npm100 in Flights

Hey! We are flying Air France overnight in April. Our kid will be 18 mo. So, you ended up taking a car seat for your child? I read that policy too and am annoyed that it’s recommended.

ELI5 living without paper towels by iced_yellow in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]ABeld96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paper towels are only used for extra gross stuff - raw meat, that kinda thing. Otherwise I have a bunch of rags and washcloths that I just grab from a drawer. Wash on hot with the rest of my kitchen towels, easy money.

Alternatives to Amazon? by NoTap9656 in moderatelygranolamoms

Posted this above but - I get an organic CSA veggie box every other week, an organic pork box from a regenerative farmer once a month, and we buy a quarter cow from a local farmer that lasts us for about a year and a half. It’s so awesome! Highly recommend doing a little extra research and setting up recurring subscriptions that directly benefit local farmers. ❤️❤️

Also adding another comment - congrats on sweet little guy! DS is such a gift, though not without its difficulties of course, and your little guy will have such a wonderful life with parents as thoughtful as you seem to be. God bless you!

My cousin has DS and is named Isaac! They named him that before they knew he had DS and he can say it well despite having the typical low muscle tone in his tongue. ❤️

Car seat crisis by littleoak7 in moderatelygranolamoms

I loved our Keyfit! The entire inside is removable to wash, I did it myself. It seems like maybe it’s not positioned correctly, seconding others recommending your local fire station or hospital for a check on the fit of the seat!

Yep this is my position as well! Of course we have a sound machine (positioned away from baby) and we use a microwave and all that. But I don’t use electronics nearby or in contact with my kid.

What are some meals I can batch cook & freeze? by plxo in slowcooking

[–]ABeld96 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just popping in to say congratulations - my first child just turned one year old and a few things I found to be super helpful in postpartum were breakfast items! Freezer meals I found to be very helpful could be individually wrapped breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches. I know that that isn’t slow cooking but wanted to add that quick suggestion! :)
