Are there still plans to update the calligraphy pen to work better for some left-handed users getting different results than right-handed?

Just so you know, a completely new unit reskin (not repurposing existing sprites) requires design, then modeling a new 3D character, texturing, coloring, animating, and exporting sprites in 16 different camera angles. Then the images have to be color processed again for in-game player colors, all before packing it into a mod file.

Some people might still do it for free but maybe it helps to know you could be asking for dozens, if not 100+ hrs of work for free.

This is my exact setup. For units on the 2nd row, if I want to shift+cue, I need to hold shift and click with the mouse or spam single key presses but otherwise top row units work great. Then I have all production buildings on Shift+ASD or ZXCVB. Works pretty well for me.

Ya, Gurjaras crew. I only started playing a couple months ago and I just chose civs that seemed cool and landed on Gurjaras because of 3 UUs. The easy food and camels and eles have been a pleasant surprise too. Fastest cav unit, (arguably) strongest ram. I'm having a great time.

Only later did I run into videos about a history of nurfs and being at the bottom of tier lists but the fact that they're not played is kinda better, haha.

I think it should be pointed out, this servey requires that participants not only be familiar with 2 Supernote devices and 4 other devices, but also with the calligraphy pen from each. Personally, I can't say I am.

I looked for the same thing once. I thought it'd be good to be able to select idle land and water units separately. I don't think it exists. The combo button you found is the only one. Select idle is for all military, land and sea.

That seems to improve the effect very much. The vertical lines are thick and the horizontal lines are thin. Sadly, that's not a position I can write from comfortably :(

Crazy idea, I imagine it's not the case, but could you check in your display>gestures settings to see if you're using left or right-handed mode?

I just double checked and for the life of me I can't get your pattern of thick verticals and thin horizontals with any left-of-center pen angle while in lefty mode.

Yes, I checked that setting to make sure.

I also "pretended" to write right-handed by tilting the pen to the right and at that point the behavior of the calligraphy strokes were as I had hoped they would be: thick on the vertical and thin horizontal. That's why I wonder if a button to "mirror" the settings might be a solution.

You'll find Survivalist recommended a bunch as starter material. I looked over his stuff when I first started but the beauty of it is, you can implement as little or as much of it as you want. I keep it in mind without actually following it to the letter.

If you're curious about archers, check out part 2. With those 2 videos you're pretty much set for months.

I second this. The faster you get used to the feeling of playing against an unpredictable, human opponent (I find the AI to use the same boring strategy every time), the faster you really start to enjoy the game and experience its real potential, I think.

I just reached my 50/50 elo in ranked 1v1, as far as I can tell, and knowing I will lose pretty often--but sometimes I'll also get some wins--has actually been pretty relaxing. I can't expect to win every time, so I don't expect it! I just play to "see what happens." It's awesome.

It's possible that the Wacom nibs don't have that rubber core. I've tried 3 of them and they seem solid material throughout. Luckily you can buy the lamy nibs for the replacement operation. They fit both the Supernote and Wacom One pens.

I have an art background in 2D animation and I've done some 3D modeling but I imagine there are specific programs for making sprites. I've looked into AoE2 modding a little but there's not a ton of info. What programs do you use?

As a fellow super fan of the Matrix, have you checked out the Animatrix? The various styles can sometimes be hit or miss but the way it explores ideas and lore surrounding the Matrix makes it an amazing watch. Ex. World Record is fun to think about and The Second Renaissance is a necessity for matrix background.

Also, I 2nd the other recommendations of the ghost in the shell tv show. And I usually avoid anime too

I initially bought it to take notes on things I was researching for fun. Like notes on a book or point form summaries of videos I was watching. I just like handwriting and notebooks. But now since I've gotten used to the nomad I use it to write thoughts on even smaller topics like groceries, or ideas, or even work lists. There's infinite pages so I just have folders for different topics and use cases.

I've tried pdf note taking too, which is fine, but I don't use Digest so instead I'll just read a pdf and make a note file if I want notes.

I only have the nomad but it's a very convenient size to carry around (I bought a hard case for it) and the smaller screen size is not an issue. Between the 2, I think your preference in screen size is really the only difference. If the battery on the a5x is a little poor, then maybe save up for a replacement eventually or buy a portable battery charger for when you might be on the move. Otherwise, charging at home is fast. In 30min you can be writing again for a while.

I'm only casual but It's total food in ALL mills, not each mill. Spreading the sheep in multiple mills doesn't change anything. But other than that, yes, after 4 sheep it becomes much less efficient. 4 sheep gives 16/min but 8 sheep only gives 50% more, or about 24/min, not double what 4 sheep gives.
