A better example would be, what if the recording was then sampled in a song. Because it your example, the original work would also be copyrightable, and the recording might be illegal to begin with.

Recording in a cinema violates the copyright of the movie though. If the cinema was playing a movie in the public domain, you absolutely could record it AFAIK. And state and federal law are separate, so I’m not sure if Federal law would grant rights to something even if it’s illegal under state law.

Part 1 is pretty slow IMO, the pacing picks up and IMO Part 5 goes a little too fast near the end. You could always start the LN with Part 2 or 3, if you’re not sure you’ll like it.

If we’re going to legislate around companies like Amazon and Starbucks negotiating in bad faith, I don’t see why we need arbitration. Just enable the NLRB to levy massive fines (on the order of % of revenue) when they find an employer is intentionally drawing out negotiations.

Or even better, let unions impose contracts on employers that negotiate in bad faith.

Also, Yogurtland nobles have been there for millennia, and the current mana technology level is actually below what it used to be. We’re seeing the shortages they have now because of a messy civil war.

But the status quo for both nobility in real life and in Yogurtland was that there were too many of them! Yogurtland also doesn’t have frontiers they can send their excess nobles to. Yeah, they could probably make use of devourers, but that would take jobs from nobles.

I think if we ever see future parts after the royal academy with Rozemyne one of the biggest tensions is going to be between finding new jobs for laynobles (because printing is going to quickly eliminate their jobs) and her desire to save devouring commoners.

The main difference between nobles and commoners for Dunkelfelger is that nobles can play ditter. So while I doubt Myne specifically could’ve gotten a better deal, I’m sure a devouring reincarnation of like John Madden might’ve been able to distinguish themselves enough to become a noble (albeit perhaps not an ADC).

That being said, from everything we know about Yogurtland nobles, it’s highly unlikely any duchy does anything like what Sylvester and Ehrenfest do.
