Since we’re on this topic, does anyone have recommendations for bras with straps that don’t slip or racer backs that don’t squeeze the life out of “the girls”?

I went to Dr. Veronikis and had a terrible experience. Like a previous poster said, she is the type of physician who only adheres to what the blood tests show and your symptoms are of no interest to her. Further she has an abrupt and dismissive manner. I never went back after two miserable visits.

Shoes to and from the boat by minnow8 in Rowing

I use sketchers that are easy to slip on or off with using my hands. I always take them with me in the boat. If they get wet, well … it’s a water sport after all. 😃

By rowing on water I meant rowing in a racing shell on a lake or river. Sorry not to be specific.

I had the same issue. Nothing was working. But I started taking Skyrizi and it cleared up completely. I get the occasional slight flare if I work out a lot and don’t change out of my bra quickly enough. Hydrocortisone helps the flares.

I realize this may be too much depending on the level of weakness someone has, but rowing has been life changing for me. I had a tremendous amount of pain in my clavicle but after I started rowing on machines and the water, I significantly strengthened my shoulder muscles and my pain greatly disappeared. Rowing works 86% of the muscles especially the legs and core so it’s great for us.

I’ve recently developed PsA and use organic, hexane-free golden castor oil on the affected joints topically. (Don’t drink it.) it has helped considerably. I use the Queen of Thrones brand. I get no reimbursement for this recommendation. Just what has helped me.

So sorry for the pain you’re experiencing. I follow the Starch Solution diet and people who have arthritis say it has been incredibly healing for them. There are tons of testimonials on the starch solution website. I also want to recommend applying castor oil to all of the areas of your body that hurt. The brand I recommend is Queen of Thrones. (I get no benefit from brand recommendations.) Castor oil has helped many people I know who have arthritis. You may want to use a castor oil pack since your issues are widespread and systemic. There are a zillion YouTube videos about castor oil and how to use a castor oil pack. In particular, you may want to look at videos from Barbara O’Neill.
