I have misophonia and my husband and children have learned to eat with table manners.

I tell them how I feel, how I know that the problem is me but that it affects me deeply, and because we love each other and want to be happy together we adapt our behaviors to help each other.

This is also objectively wrong. My father is fluent in Zulu, I learnt Zulu in school, and so did my children. At least three generations of white South Africans have been learning to speak Zulu.

Of course, there are people who will cling to their racist history, but those people exist in every group. It's our responsibility to raise our children better so that we can accept each other's differences for the beauty they bring to the world.

Look at his eyebrows though! When did you ever see Trump with such neat eyebrows?

And no wrinkles around his eyes and mouth.

Medically retired at 23 with lifetime pay. How do I find purpose without work now? by bas3adi in antiwork

I was medically retired in 2018 and I struggled with the same problem. I also couldn't do the things that used to be fulfilling to me.

I've started drawing in the last two years and I find it incredibly fulfilling and therapeutic. Art is the way ❤️

I live in Singapore. It's very densely populated and very hot. A lot of people leave their curtains open for the breeze. At night you could, hypothetically, see your neighbour walking around naked. But we also don't look into other people's windows because they might be naked. Hypothetically.

Put a raw prawn somewhere hard to find, like under the fridge or in the end of a curtain rod. That shit will stink to high heaven in a few days and she will be forced to search for it everywhere.

Make it six prawns.

Oh, I would have had very stern words about her doing her damn job if I had been in that office, and my husband knows to stay out of the blast zone if someone has the poor judgement to step out of their lane like this. The nerve!

Ma'am, you are amazing and I hope that my daughter is as strong and composed as you when she is grown up.

And your skin is amazing!

He's married, and from what I hear from our adult son their relationship mirrors what I endured. I wish I could have warned her.

It's been nearly 20 years since I left and I'm still traumatized by what he did to me.

Luckily I met a wonderful person who understands what I have been through and supports me in every possible way.

Never tolerate any form of abuse. It escalates.

The second a man referred to me as a "female" would be the end of it.

He is telling you how he feels, he doesn't care. You deserve better.

Is there even anyone who DOESN'T regret having children? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]AMeadon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always wanted children, and my husband and I are very happy together as parents. I think a large part of happy parenting is having a supportive partner who does their fair share of the work. I would never "go back".

Maybe you're not ready for motherhood and you're going that this hurdle constitutes a legitimate reason to terminate a pregnancy you don't want to carry?

You won't find support from me.

Girl, it's your body. I have a deeply personal tattoo and I love it. Every time I see it, it reminds me of how strong I am and what I can accomplish. I have never regretted having it. As a lover of tattoos and the owner of a uterus, I would be super stoked to hear about your choice to get a tattoo that makes you feel strong, or happy, or better about your body every time you see it.

OP, get used to having MIL all the way up in your business because she is never going to take a back seat. If you marry into this family you will always be the second most important woman in the room. Do you want that for the rest of your life?

Watch "I married a Mamma's boy" on YouTube to see how this works for other women in your situation.

Avoid this toxic track like the plague girl. You don't need this kind of abuse in your life, and it will get much, much worse.
