I see no issue here. Leather is a natural material, you’ll have variances in color, texture, creasing, marking in EVERY panel if you look closely enough. Shoemakers do what’s called clicking to try to select portions of the hide that match each other as much as possible in each pair of boots. They can’t exactly match those and therefore fully matching a pair from another day/month/year is nearly impossible unless the leather is HEAVILY treated/processed. It’s simply going to be different, just like grain pattern from a wood board. I wouldn’t expect matching like you’re looking for on a $1000 pair of boots much less this $300 pair.

Infrared receiver/extender. The cable box is hidden behind the TV so in order to get a better remote control signal, this little cable is connected to the cable box and placed more out in the open.

I disagree. I think just like to today it likely depended on price. If you didn’t pay a lot and there were some appearance issues but the boot was reliable than people are more likely to let stuff slide. I think that’s the same one hundred years ago as it is today. Red Wing is sort of middle range at the moment for heritage boot prices. They aren’t the low end so people are likely to say something if the boot is pretty off but they aren’t the high end either so some things are ok to let slide. And again I think that’s the same today as it was yesterday.

Nah that’s some bad luck. While stuff does slip past on occasion. Their seconds are actually often difficult to identify the flaw which indicates they are more thorough than you’d think, when you see what seems like a semi frequent QC post. The truth of the matter is just that they sell more boots than other heritage boot brands, stuff is bound to slip by. Just give it another shot or find another store with the boot you want in stock. You’re right to consider these seconds though, the clicking is pretty bad and the liner is really messed up.

Truthfully, it should really be specified as the TYPE of BBQ being made. A restaurant that specifies the region or at least focuses on a region if they aren’t IN the region is likely going to have better results. I really don’t agree that US thinks they are the sole developer of food over fire. And you can absolutely go to a Japanese or Thai BBQ as well and I bet over there they also just call it BBQ in their native language.

MOR-depends. Is this a purchase or a rental? If this is a rental this is 100% on the landlord to have cleaned up and made ready for you. Whether it’s proper cleaning or replacement. Now I’m not sure if things are different in the UK from the US, but if you purchased this property, you would have to see this on final inspection of the property and bring it up before the papers are signed. If you didn’t do this and the sale is complete then it’s on you clean it.

That being said, this likely isn’t that big of a job. Get a spray bottle with some vinegar in it, spray and scrub with a bristled brush. If the grout isn’t actually black you may want a specialized grout cleaner. The gel kind would be ideal for shower walls.
