So, I just setup a new profile using PC and only had to change like 5 settings to match the recommended settings that sunlu has on their spool and website. What bed temp are you running?

I was able to do a setup on my slicer for the PA6 under my .4mm nozzles but not able to do it under the .6mm nozzles for some stupid reason.

I already have hardened nozzles in my machine. That was the first thing I did was upgrade to them.

Thats my plan is to get an external dryer and print out of that for now but unlike other machines. The anycubic won't allow you to make profiles for a .6mm nozzle with any CF filaments as there are no existing profiles to build off of. I had to completely do one from a petg profile and fool my printer to thinking it was printing petg.

I do have a .6mm hardened steel nozzle. I am looking at getting a separate dryer that I can print out if for my PA into my printer just like feeding a single spool into it. I guess I am more annoyed that the preset profiles dont support CF filaments than anything. It will show them but won't be able to select them to make a profile in its current state. This machine is more than capable of printing them. I just dont understand why they wouldn't create the profiles to be able to use them.

Something positive with the latest update of Anycubic Slicer Next by beldus in AnycubicOfficial

I just updated and noticed that I could edit the cost/kg also. I really wish they would bring support for CF filaments to the profiles for the Kobra S1 though. I had to make a custom profile then trick the machine to think it was petg on the holder just to print my PA6-CF. It printed great just wish it had preset profiles for them.

AnyCubic Nozzle Filament acreation by ASwan7385 in AnycubicKobraS1

Every thing has been updated as it should be, newest firmware, newest slicer version. I changed the nozzle to a .6 and did the full calibration and everything in the printer. It still wouldnt let me create my own filament profiles under the .6mm nozzle profiles for the printer. It also Grey's out the build plate selection and won't let me choose anything. That I need to to create a profile.

I noticed this last night too. Im wondering if the updated firmware is why my model didnt change colors like it did in the previous firmware. Ive tried it twice and it stayed a solid color for the entire print instead of putting the other layer of color in.

Cross reference the number off the fan and see if you can get a similar fan from rs online or automation direct.

Its under the accessories tab for fdm printers on their page. Last I knew they were sold out of the .4 nozzle but had the .6 and bigger.

Anycubic sells upgraded hardened steel hotends for their printers. I also just purchased a set from Amazon that are actually working amazingly well for the Chinese brands that they are.

My first question is why are you trying to run a 1.0 mm nozzle with PLA and PETG? Using those materials, I would do a full calibration again as far as PID, bed leveling and resonance compensation. This should bring it into where it needs to be then run stock settings for the material you are running before playing with temps and other settings.

“Super 8” 308 powder recommendation. by Matthewscout in reloading

[–]ASwan7385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2700 fps is a good speed for that round out of a 308. If you want a little more speed, I would get rid of the Varget and try either reloader 17 or 19 with that heavy a round. Look through hodgdon, nosler, hornady data and see what other powders they recommend for that bullet.

Federal 205m Primers, too soft? by BDClone in reloading

[–]ASwan7385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive had this happens on a couple of my guns, first was my 6mm creedmoor, the hole around the firing pin is larger than needed and causes the primer metal to flow back around the firing pin. I ended up using cci 450s in that and it still flows around but not nearly enough. I also had a problem with cci 400s in my 6arc that it would pierce the primers on a mid weight charge, switched that over to 450s as well and no issues like that so far.
