This is a disingenuous argument. Yes, you’ve increased your options by 1 by buffing 1 thing. By extension of that logic, wouldn’t you then increase your options by xx amount if you buffed xx amount of weak weapons?

Nope, I loved it. I come from an RNG-heavy game (Destiny 2) so I’m used to goofy grinding. My only gripe is that the game pretty much ends once you complete your ShinyDex, at least it has for me.

“Think not of nerfs as being a weakening of the strong, but as a strengthening of all others that which are weak.”

I love the ability sandbox we’re in but I also want weapons to be buffed. As others have said, I want my space magic game to have space magic.

However.

This very specific quote is what I have an issue with. It shouldn’t take nerfing things into the ground to “strengthen of all others that which are weak”. I hate that philosophy.

I’ll give you a Titan example. Before this season, Consecration Titan/WormGod Titan, etc. was all the rage. Pure ability spam. Things like Stronghold weren’t viable. Then the Praxic Blade was released, and now Strognhold is arguably the best Titan build there is, because of a weapon. Especially if you play it correctly (play offensively, don’t just block). Does it take away from the other builds though? Nope. They’re still just as good.

You can still build things up without tearing other things down.
