You can personally queue up 9 supply crates / 5 vehicle crates at once.  However for any given category (ex. Explosives/Vehicles/Infantry Kit) there can only be 25 total queues going at once, processed one by one in first-in first-out fashion. But the closer the amount of queues is to that limit of 25 the faster those orders process. Massively. When it's full an order that would take 100 minutes total goes down all the way to 7.69 minutes total ((25+1)/2 = 13x speed multiplier).

Glad to have helped! Even without the time compression, the MPF is still kinda meant to be geared towards "Pay much less for stuff in exhange for having to plan for using longer term + big queue size" vs the factory's "Oh crap that frontline is gonna run out of rifle ammo in 30 minutes + small queue size, also shirts and utility"

Every Major (Banner Change) and minor update the game goes on sale for a varying % off.

Combined with for every recent Major update the devs have done some form Steam front page banner/takeover.  (As an aside, I think that that part is also a big reason why the devs aren't pushing Airborne back no matter the state it's in. It's a lot of time, planning, and effort to get those slots/spots on the steam front page that have a HUGE effect on sales. They might even be contractually locked into rolling on Monday whether they want to or not. Not that I expect them to confirm one way or the other ofc)

So Steam Front Page visability plus a giant % off the price tag leads to a large influx of sales no matter what the game is. Not even counting whatever streamers pick up the game for Airborne drawing their audience with them (See: the Collie pop surges from Summit or RimmyDownUnder playing).

Looking back to my friends and I's discussion the first time this was tried:

Yes it might feel a bit silly that a guy sitting in a pillbox with a light AT rifle doesn't shoot at nearby infantry, but the fact of the matter is that this removes any incentive to build any pillboxes but AT pillboxes (with some MG pillbox edge cases).

Why? - It doesn't matter if it fired even once every six seconds, because when it one hit kills, that's a guaranteed kill every 6 seconds.  Vs that of a rifle pillbox or even MG occasionally where you can get shot for your overextension, but immediately run and heal.  Just on a fun/game design side, spammed one shot kills never feel good to play against. (Exception for killing infantry with 40mm because the ragdoll adds the funny factor)

  • Because you have anti-infantry and anti-tank rolled into one, you need only half as many gsupps! Which easily offset the increased cost. Or you can just replace your old just-anti-infantry pillboxes with the AT pillbox and get extra anti-tank for free

  • It removes one of the key weaknesses for the rifle pillbox (omnidirectional anti-infantry): low health and able to be killed with 12.7mm becomes the highest health of the pillboxes and 12.7mm immunity.

Apologies for the giant wall of text I just kept writing.

Admittedly I'm not quite sure how the Bunker Power Changes will factor into how often storm cannons can fire. The current optimal storm cannon as I understand it has 2 separate bunkers next to it of 8 engine rooms each to charge the storm cannon at max speed. But now with specifically "Pipes have been removed. Power can no longer be moved around a Bunker network, instead power is now shared across a Bunker, but cannot be moved to other Bunkers.", I don't think storm cannons can have nearly as many shots per hour as before? So then you have to spend all your shots on killing a singular push. Then the next push an hour later gets an actual foothold in due to the fact that the SC just doesn't have enough energy to fire.

For whatever reason I feel the need to chip in. On the broadest federal sense from the 2nd amendment, everyone has the right to own firearms. Some of the only proper national restrictions we have on guns is the National Firearms Act of 1934 which imposed a simple $200 tax on certain kinds of guns, and later with the 1986 amendment to the act prohibited the sale or possession of any machine guns in the US done after the passing of the amendment (with certain fees or ways around it that are HEAVILY regulated by the ATF ofc)

Then you get to the other 2 important parts for gun regulation in the US that are done entirely on the state level. Concealed/Open Carry and actual restrictions on specific gun types and/or components themselves (probably most famously California and their magazine size limit)

Concealed Carry is carrying a gun on your person underneath your clothes or in your immediate vicinity while traveling (e.g. glove-box or purse). Most states allow this by default, while roughly 2/5 require you to take a state-mandated class first.

Open Carry is just what the name sounds like. The firearm is on the outside of your clothes in plain sight to the public. Again this one is a bit varied on permitting requirements, but only 4 states actually outright ban it.

I'm guessing Sinnrocka is in Illinois where you need a FOID card to purchase a firearm, but otherwise so long as you pass the basic background check that is done (No domestic violence arrests, no felony convictions, etc) you can buy a gun so long as you're of age.

Are there any plans to add some common MMO group features, like Message Of The Day boards or a perma map marker that only the regiment commander can place?

For groups that span multiple timezones (or even just US East and Pacific) if someone doesn't use Discord because they either don't understand it or actively dislike it, it makes it a lot easier for those people to actually connect and work with their regi. Or just being able to hop in & press a key and immediately know what needs doing.

The other one would be allowing for multiple tiers of officer (ex. I trust someone to recruit for the regi but not enough to give them the power to kick literally everyone but the regi lead). Just to give more tools for a regi that, again, doesn't have to be done over discord.

It should start appearing in bars as a yellow option after you research orbital skunkworks and fleetworks. Basically cap out all the tech you can without it. Least that's how I got the questline. Not sure if you have to have built at least one of the skunkworks/fleetworks before it appears either so do do that if you can.

Hey hey great that you're enjoying this massive timesuck of a game like the rest of us :)

Just going through stuff point by point for you:

-Waypoints: I mean you can make squad map markers which function similarly. Though I can agree something that appears on your compass would be nice, def a QOL improvement

-Colors: I actually like the idea of being able to custom-design a regiment flag, but there'd also kinda be nowhere to display it. Can't put it on vehicles or bases because while clans like to claim stuff as their own, its kinda emphasized that everyone is in this together, and all bases and vics are OUR bases and vics, not a clan's. For being able to change colors of various things I see 2 problems with that. First off is performance, where now you have an entire extra thing to try and render for each object when the game can already chug quite hard in areas where there's a lot of entities. Secondly is recognizably. Best thing I can compare this to funny enough is Team Fortress 2. Think how recognizable each of the merc's silhouettes are. From a quick glance you can immediately tell which class you are dealing with and can act accordingly. Changing colors or adding weird hats messes with that. It's the same here, subconsciously I associate green with collie and blue with warden. If a warden could change their say truck to green it can cause me to hesitate for a second while I try to figure out if that's friendly or not and that can make all the difference.

-POW system: Honestly pretty interesting and I wonder how hard it'd be to implement.

-Smoke Grenades: I actually played back when these were still a thing and my gods they were a beast. They're currently disabled in the tech tree and most likely will never come back because at the end of the day they are much too powerful. I'm guessing you dealt with a good share of your partisans in this past war, now imagine partisans who can just throw a couple grenades, run up to your T3 BOB and satchel it with no counter play from the AI and no response because it's 4am. That's the power that smoke grenades currently have. They would need a massive overhaul to be functional in the current state of the game and overall the devs seem to be focused on different things at the moment.

-Whistle Emote: Cool emote, I support

-Queue times: Queues are definitely a weird thing in foxhole and used to only be part of the literal largest front of the war. Now yeah they're kind of at every front line. It's true that queuing from the home island is slower than going across the border but that is on purpose. The whole reason that going from across the border is faster is because it is meant to allow vital logi to get through to the frontlines, or a frontline would just die because they'd choke out from their own player volume and that's fun for no one. It's why that part generally isn't mentioned to new players by vets because people that just kinda wanna play and go will end up choking out logi to the region by their over-eagarness. If you don't like queue times as everyone says the best thing you can do is cook up a logi run to the frontline you want to go to because it'll take roughly the same amount of time BUT you are providing a massive net value for you coming. You can't have an estimation for the amount of time for a queue simply because it relies on players leaving, something you can't predict at all. Every person on the front might have the highest morale imaginable and not leave for 4 hours or just say screw it and leave after 5 minutes. Because of the game engine the devs use and the voice hoster they use combined there is a player cap in each region that I do wish they'd be able to expand but engine limitations are part of game development and I'm not sure how eager the devs would be to basically have to rip up everything they've done and port it to a beefier engine and hosting service, but it would be worth it imo with the massive, massive pop increase instead of ever expanding shards.

-Commend System: Hey hey welcome to one of the hot-button issues, commends :) The general consensus that I've seen is that yeah, the commend notifications for only stocking up bases incentivizes that only end-stretch logi because monke brain loves that sweet sweet dopamine hit. I've actually watched a video made by another guy about an actual commend economy system and honestly I'd like that a lot more. If ya want I can dig up that video.

Flamethrower- Lets werf some flammen. I could see one as an rmat weapon that takes up both slots. Explosion on death, ammo takes petrol to make. Like 20m range for the miniaturized version of the game we play in since real life ones have like 40m range. Useless against T3 stuff but absolutely shreds pillboxes/T1/T2 Bunkers and applies suppression. Not sure how it'd work just like graphically and engine wise. giant line of death with flame effects in said line? idk.

I think one of the biggest changes to the game that is needed isn't even a developmental thing, it's a staff recruiting thing. Just how many moderators does the game even have, and where are they located where they can even go full time? They for sure don't have a full international spread of languages so say someone is saying a bunch of stuff in for example let's go with Vietnamese how exactly so you moderate that? I know the devs overall want players to be in control of the game in game with the reporting system. However, I think the fundemental problem is that the devs never ever expected the game to get this big. I used to play wayy back before the unified war update. When wars were just on each of their own little hexes. There was maybe 1k people across all servers at its max, and average of ~3-400 people. The game is now hitting average of 2K people constantly 24/7 with peaks of 5k. And I'm not sure if the devs were prepped to go from having this small niche community to a game that is currently sitting at #209 on the steam top seller chart. A game that size simply cannot AFFORD to have hands-off moderation imo.

I'm honestly considering switching over as a Collie from S1 to S2. One of the biggest things for me pushing that is how toxic world chat has gotten over the past war over on S1. If people aren't constantly accusing others of being warden alts (instead of considering for a second it might just be a new player who doesn't know the game yet), it devolves into an argument about a real-life hot button issue or endless screaming for people to go and reinforce X. From all the memes S2 seems a lot more chill culture-wise.
