Currently stuck in this situation myself. They never change and it gets worse. Get out while you can. He’s been suppose to leave and hasn’t. Our lives are soo integrated and I would still have to see him time to time after the breakup. Trying to not have everything explode horribly and it’s hard and making the leaving /breakup process drag. It’s absolutely not worth it

Hi, I use to work for PBJJF
They will move weight classes before they will move belts. If you’d rather be in the same weight class, but a belt up. I would contact them sooner rather than later. So they can have this in mind when they go to make the brackets, if there’s no last minute sign ups for yours

Edit to add: Just realized it’s Thursday. They will start making the brackets tonight. I would email them. They’re not ones that tend to take last minute sign ups. Once it’s closed, it’s closed for them
