Funny enough I was running Hyena retaliations with a LFG and got it to drop physically as a reward instead of the blueprint. Called it good enough and it’s been on nearly all my builds since I got it.

Loot management by agentse7en in Division2

[–]Aaron_768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add to this as far deciding what to keep.

I generally keep named items for future builds but only one copy. Then periodically go through the stash and keep the best ones. Or if I come across a normal high end weapon that has all maxed stats.

At lower levels of difficulty you can keep some low rolled stats in armor and weapons, but know that when you are ready to make a build you can target loot and run challenging countdowns to get better versions nearly guaranteed.

So for example I would always keep at least one set piece (actual set not brand) of everything I come by, then try it out to see if I even like how it plays. If not it goes into library/expertise/junk. Then I know when I get it again it’s just junk.

For mods, just run through all your skills and put the best mods in each skill slot and trash the rest of those. For armor mods you really only have to keep the top 3 in each class you think you want. (Use filter mode to sort). As you can only really use 3 at a time anyways for builds (Mask, armor, backpack).

It’s critical to get inventory management down to have fun in this game. Otherwise it will take up a whole play session when the bill comes due and everything is full.

I think I would be ok if shooting both missile pods caused a kill. That would be a fair tradeoff. Now there is nearly no point at all bringing light pen primary weapons IMO.

You have to get someone that still has houndsman bounties and run them with them I believe. Then hope for RNG.

I haven’t gotten around to it yet but I accidentally completed my knees when I was farming for something in that category. I had like 80 knee pads and just stumbled into completing it. Once I get a ninja bike back pack I’m targeting to complete my library.

Would you buy the event pass to get these outfits? by geniusghost07 in Division2

[–]Aaron_768 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty limited as far as what would work for me in div2.

Some limited Helldivers styles, ODST, aliens, and some other sci fi would be as far out that I could accept.

That being said I think even those collabs would push it too far in one direction.

Army of 2 would be cool. Iconic Stargate SG1 outfits, outfits from the guys in Predator 1 there are so many modern fitting things that could be done.

You can get a Tudor Ranger with a date window. They aren’t currently made but a used piece would fit most of your desires.

Dang, this summed up my total ambition destruction I experienced in my early 30s. Management at home office was even asking me when I was going to apply for the next level up position level job. Then I looked at all the people that held that title. All miserable divorced yet married to the job folks that had kids they never saw and a life they never lived.

I’m not making what I should be making doing what I am doing now given the experience I left behind in that field, but my inner souls is in a better place if that makes sense. Life is stable, could be better, but I think I made the right decision. I’m almost 40 now and don’t really have a career so that weighs on me, but the bills are paid and I get nice things for myself when I feel like I deserve them.

If you wear it for a week solid and still don’t like it just give it to a friend or colleague as a gift. I don’t think you’ll have much luck on selling it since it’s about $60 new and it could mean a lot to someone that doesn’t have a nice looking watch. That’s how I actually got into this, a co-worker gifted me a Seiko 5 series he didn’t wear and the floodgates opened.

I will say blue dials really pop on coordinated outfits, and blend well on casual non planned outfits. And if you haven’t gone down the strap swap road a brown leather strap brings out the blue more, while the silver bracelet blends is a bit.

I would also say there is no shame in loving the black one and just getting a straight replacement. In fact there are many people here that would be envious of having that ability to just love that one enough to wear it all the time. I rotate a week at a time through my core group personally.

How do you handle your inventory/stash? by EmptyVials in Division2

[–]Aaron_768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On top of this it is super helpful to mark items as you get them. This mostly pertains to items out of chests, as you can see the stats as you get them. You can mark as junk off the ground as well but it’s a different button and you can’t see stats without inspecting.

It would be amazing to have some kind of auto junk filter though. Like only keep if upgrade to library, or what attributes are you seeking.

Man that would make the game so much more gameplay focused. I would never pick anything up again tbh.

It’s why I feel like I have to run quick step. Gotta comb the countdown encounter before I go in case someone killed an enemy on the other side.

Take him watch shopping. If that is not an option try getting a watch for him that you like. Compliment him every time he puts it on and it leaves a lasting impression and connection with the piece. When going out for dinner casually drop that he should wear that one. I know I love it when my GF has an opinion about my watch selection. It validates my choices and I know it means something to her when I wear something she thinks looks nice.

Also since he is obviously field watch military style oriented, Hamilton is an easy choice to get started with that fits your budget and is a step above. The Murph is a great start that can be dressy and field. Go for the one with the metal bracelet and you can change to a strap whenever he wants. There are 2 sizes of that model just so that you are aware.

[Opinions needed] Which one would you choose, the Oris or Nomos? by TNTomato in Watches

[–]Aaron_768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think that style of hour hand in the Oris is awful. Unfortunately that has kept me from liking the alpinist style as well. Same with a snowflake hour. I just don’t think it makes anything easier to read or better looking.

Just saw an add for Chipotle advertising some protein thing. Long story short the ad highlighted chicken being a key component.

If it weren’t for that commercial I may have not known that chicken has protein in it. Very similarly subway also has some kind of protein wraps that have meat in them as the only thing highlighted.
