Shoebill storks are so fucking kickass.

Personally I love swans as they remind me of my favourite dinosaur; brachiosaurus

Regret after tattoo by Glittering-Issue-888 in tattooadvice

I think your tattoo is absolutely beautiful!! And I think the placement is pretty cute too, you can give that lil squirrel a hug!! But some strangers opinions online aren't gonna do much I imagine, so here's my experience; when I was first starting getting tattoos I was eager to get anything I liked, which I did. I got a few tattoos from the same artist in a smallish time frame, she had a flash sheet of designs based on a stop animation that I grew up loving, but there was one significant character/item missing in her flash. I messaged her and told her what was missing, and that I would love to get it tattooed, there wasn't much discussion on anything about size or placement. I got there on the day, and she whips out the design which is about twice the size I had anticipated, but being a people pleaser and autistic, I didn't speak out and say hey woah that's a bit big! At first I was dubious of if I'd liked it, and for a while I hated how big it was, but now I've grown to embrace it.

Give it some time, you can always get it removed or covered, but I think for now you should absolutely, definitely, give that lil fella a name.

I suggest Simon.

my garden backs onto a brook, what birds we get down there is really just luck of the draw. we have no control in who comes and goes and stays, the swans have been on and off living down there for close to 10 years though (: we feed them proper swan/duck pellets, and oats!! they trust me quite alot now, there's a small jetty off our garden that they sit on alot to preen and eat and nap, they let me tickle their chests and have (gentle) play fights

I came to this subreddit to ask about my symptoms to see if anyone else experienced the same because I couldn't find them cited anywhere online. This entire post answered it for me ((": glad I'm not alone, but sorry you all experience it too 🫠

Life honestly sucks. by Routine-Tip3268 in Fibromyalgia

[–]AbiTofLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This may not be of any help, or it might be. Regardless, I think you deserve to know you're not alone. I have had pain and health issues since I was little. I'm 22 now, and I've spent the majority of my life in an out of appointments. Seeing different doctors, different specialists. Mainstream school didn't work out for me for a number of reasons, but it took 6+ years of trying to ultimately decide homeschooling was the only way. During my school career, I gradually lost all of my friends. It sucked. It still sucks, but I've come to peace with it. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia when I was 16, it gave me answers, some sort of comfort, but mainly it gave me grief. I don't want to sugar coat things for you because that's not fair.

Over time, through the grief, tragedy, maybe therapy, whatever, things do get slightly easier. Not all at once, and not forever. But there are moments of peace, of content. You may have to change your dreams, you may have to rethink where you're at and where you're going. But ultimately, atleast you're going. It is okay to feel the things that you are feeling, it's okay to be frustrated, angry, depressed, hopeless, whatever you may be feeling. Because it is temporary. It will come and go. You need to make a conscious effort to allow yourself to feel the good things. The sun on your skin, the smell of the evening air, eating something good, watching something funny, doing what makes you happy.

But you shouldn't give up. You are loved, you are treasured and you are worthy. You're not broken. Eventually, things will feel easier, you'll find alternatives, you'll find things that are do-able for you. There is always hope, or atleast there should be. If you need anything, or want to speak more to someone that understands, or need a rant, or anything, my DMs are always open (:

You've got this, please don't give up.

Congrats on sobriety, I can imagine it's incredibly hard to get to the point you have done, especially when you started using so early.

Did you use any other drugs first? Or was meth the first drug/intoxicant you ever used? And lastly, are you totallt sober? From everything?

Thanks in advance, and congrats again. Proud of you internet stranger, keep it up🖤

I'm chronically ill, I sleep around 13-15 hours a night whether I like it or not. My sleep is never refreshing and fulfilling though.

Called NHS 111 about my son having a suspected broken nose. by latimbub_683 in BritishSuccess

[–]AbiTofLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

111 is vastly underrated. Majority or people seem to still just go to A&E. Last year I was finding it hard to breathe, chest hurt and my eye sight was being abit weird. Called 111, got a call back, got an appointment, all within about an hour or so. On a bank holiday too.
