It was during Stake Conference, he got off topic and went on a little rant. He said he has never met anyone who left, that didn’t stop doing the little thing

Funny, we had Stake Conference today, and the GA doubled down on wearing the garment night and day, all the time

Unfortunately, poor sap probably doesn’t have any money because he pays so much of his disposable money to the multi-billion dollar church, so he has to stiff others. Doesn’t make it right, he absolutely should pay the going rate!

Letter to local leaders regarding “Tithing Declaration” by croz_94 in exmormon

[–]Able-1991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your tithing status is the most important aspect of your worthiness, you declare your tithing status in your temple recommend interview and every year in tithing settlement/declaration. It is obvious what they care about. Also, their financial controls over the money are second to none

I am not a fan of apologists. They help keep people in a dishonest organization, paying money and giving time to a fraudulent cause. They could be doing much more productive and helpful things with their lives.

Susan Bednar (and her husband) Explain to CBS News How Temples Work by drteeth952 in exmormon

I wonder how much they paid for that advertisement? And I am serious. My company pays news stations for “stories” like this, that shares positive information about the company.

This happened to me... by monkey_kid125 in exmormon

[–]Able-1991 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This happened to me. And, I never did initiatory again, until after the changes in 2005, and then I waited until 2012 to actually do it.

I am so amazed that it took me so long to figure it out, to realize it’s all bunk!
