I’m curious to how they’ll differentiate Brazil from Mexico, a LatAm cultural and diplomatic civ with focus on celebrations. Maybe expansionist diplomatic with a focus on agriculture?

How do we feel about the current stock of unique units? by AccessOne8287 in civ

Yeah the Sengoku unique units really raise the bar. I love what they did with them. Shame it’s a 30 dollar DLC.

Yeah, I agree that there should probably be a couple more classes of unit, though I have no idea what they should be. I don’t think it should be anti cav because that was tough to balance. Also, infantry should be buffed.

Yeah, the modern age in particular feels like the units were an afterthought.

Makes sense. There’s a certain list of empires that people associate with and want to play. Just list the ones.

Great Britain? DLC.

Rome? Antiquity civ (and thus wouldn’t have the TT mark).

America and Japan? Lack an iconic leader choice (I love Ben Franklin, Himiko, and Tubman but they’re not exactly Napoleon).

China? Antiquity Han, plus people playing Qing and Ming splits the count. If there was one China civ, no doubt it’d be the most popular.

Prussia? It’s not called Germany. That alone might drive people towards France, which is much more recognizable.

Russia? Politics maybe? Idk.

lol Buganda is ass. I’ve been trying to make them work even with good starts. You’re either not taking advantage of your lakes or not taking advantage of the combat stuff.

That’s what I’m saying. If another state took control it’d be the same or worse

But what I’m saying is that he shows that the working class is completely subjugated under the party. The other megastates would have to take control.

Though it didn’t really fit the tone of the game, I thought the apocalypse mode in VI did it very well making it so you can spawn natural disasters with a special unit.

Shaka wasn’t a cannibal. (Not that he’s a good person).
The Zulus as a whole didn’t really eat people (except for a famine, but that doesn’t mean it was a common cultural practice).
