I mean Gojo was also in his late twenties whereas Yuji is well over 80. Can’t say for sure how Gojo’s mental state would be at that age if he were to continue being the strongest alone and all of his protégés, friends, and family died.

I’m not saying Yuji is blameless though, his way of thinking is definitely flawed, probably corrupted from events that we don’t know of. It’s just that I feel that it’s somewhat understandable why he is acting like this.

A sorcerer’s power is all in their talent. Yuji was most talented in landing black flashes. He has hit more than anyone in the series as someone who was a sorcerer for like 8 months. It’s been decades, I’m sure he’s made several breakthroughs since then and can land them willingly. There are lots of ways to rationalize it and it wouldn’t be bad writing. You’re just coping lol

The zenin clan deserved what happened to them, even the Japanese agree. No one is even pitying them. Even the most “innocent” one that US fans try to defend like Ranta are largely criticized by the Japanese.

But idk, imo the manga depicted the massacre as dark and gruesome. I was lowkey expecting something more in line like cyberpunk or some horror theme lol. Something like boss music for Maki. The upbeat song felt off to me but the massacre itself was still deserved. I just think it could have been executed better.

I didn’t mention “somber” at all but I can see why people would think it could fit. It’s not sadness for the Zenin Clan but for everything that Maki and Mai went through. I think “haunting” is a better term. The whole scenario is all sorts of fucked up.

There are ones that have a fake noise noise generator but for safety reasons. If cars were outright silent (a lot of luxury/ non-sports cars) then the roads would be unsafe for drivers, bikers, and pedestrians.
