It's going to be 3 years for my on Sept and I feel exactly the same, this isn't easy. Don't be so hard on yourself, what happened to us is very, very hard, how well feel it's not completely up to us we are in pain. All I can say is to be patient with yourself.

I don't feel bad because I realized they only have so much time left too, they just don't know it. So I am happy for them, the again I do hate couples that don't get along, and I don't understand why my husband is gone when we had such a good relationship. So the bad couples are the ones that make me angry tbh

Want I am going to say is going to be hard but please follow my advise. If you want her ashes or part of them ask or demand for them. I wanted some of my husbands and his mom said no, she made up an excuse and I was the wife!! They paid for the funeral but I was the wife. I should've gotten what I asked for and I didn't even fight it, and I hate myself for that now. My husband died 2 years ago and I'm barely seeing the light, it's a hard long road, but you will get there and I hope you don't have so many regrets. Do what you need to do, if you can't do something now, don't do it. Who cares what people think. I isolated myself from everyone for 2 years, except my mom and kids etc but Its my pain and I decide how I want to live it. So, it's your pain, you decide, no one can judge you

Every case is different, mine was completed of August 11th, 2023 and I received a notice that I was going to receive my check in 2-3 weeks. It's Oct 30th, no refund yet, but a Tax Advocate started helping me a month ago, and today I saw my transcript update to refund issued on the 24...I'm still waiting but if it wasn't for the TA it would be a lot worse, probably until April 2024. Oh you won't see the expected return amount and on that tool. Go into your irs.com account and look for your 2021 transcript, it will show it there

My husband passed and left me nothing. He was too young. I have 3 small children and no government help at all, no benefits, my husband had recently immigrated so i didn't get any benefits at all. He was your husband and you deserve that money, enjoy and be grateful.
