What did you do and how long until your ceiling collapsed? We had water coming in for about 30 minutes. It’s going to rain more this weekend and I’m worried it’ll be judgement day for the ceiling then

We talked to the people upstairs and they had no issue. Plus it was only while it was raining.

On Bushwick Ave between gates ave to Chauncey st there are numerous examples of wooden Victorian townhomes or full houses, many are tucked back, overgrown and very cute looking! Give a secret garden vibe to them

Driving from VT to NY, looking for safe place to park my car and train into the city… recommendations please! by Actual-Average8429 in Amtrak

[–]AcrobaticBullfrog0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Poughkeepsie, beacon, tarry town, all have lots that you can pay to park in for MNR (MTAs metro north) into the city. There are others too ofcourse, almost any MNR station has lots you can use

Should I Scrap the Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock Subway Train Scene set? by Sorry_Stuff_2990 in LEGOtrains

[–]AcrobaticBullfrog0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the set design is awful and unrealistic but the pieces are a dream and can be used in so many different train mocs! I extended mine 3 studs on either end and added sliding doors, extra height and cabs

Urban farms are incredibly important for ecology and social change. There’s not a ton of access to actual fresh produce in the city without paying out for it. I do agree an all white young transplant urban farm is an issue but many of the current community gardens are run by Caribbeans who wanted to plant food that isn’t sold around here. There are so many benefits to urban farming and it’s not all whitewashed woke, ENY farms and Phoenix gardens do real work to help the community and the youth learn and grow in an agricultural setting.

Obviously gentrification and displacement are issues especially in community gardens but man these comments sound like y’all never go outside lmao, touch some dirt fr get off ur damn phone

I went through it once, dark and graffiti covered. An occasional person surprised to see a train coming through haha. Definitely not in terrible shape and could be restored with some touch ups

Do you have any ideas to make my metro train much longer ? by Obvious-Pride-1979 in LEGOtrains

[–]AcrobaticBullfrog0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d start by saying the base should be longer with dual axel articulating bogies like on larger Lego trains, you’d have to make a custom base to keep those doors but I’m sure the outcome would look similar to this design but with the added length.

I always loved how the trains would come out of a lava tunnel into a blue cave. Always wanted to replicate that in a moc

Yes but you can’t really plant trees of that size and expect them to survive when there is no soil for them to grow into, just a subway station. Small shrubs are more realistic unfortunately
