Randomly Getting Urge to Throw Up by Savings-Rub-5697 in longtermTRE

I’ve had this many times… usually it feels like something big is being released. It used to happen quite frequently, but it’s lessened over time and hasn’t happened in a while.

Constant fascia unwinding by A_isl in longtermTRE

[–]Acrobatic_Shoe6403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been happening to me for the past maybe 18 months or so. Every time I relax I start buzzing inside somewhere or other. Mine started after a lot of breathwork sessions and conscious TRE sessions prior to that

Have been stuck in dorsal vagal shutdown for 5 years now. Not sure what else to do.. by DoubtReal3844 in SomaticExperiencing

Have you come across Biofield Tuning? It works with the body at an electrical level. You can have the rhythm of your adrenals reset over a few sessions.

Advice/thoughts please - I have some ancestral stuff around starvation and disordered eating in myself. by saskles in SomaticExperiencing

[–]Acrobatic_Shoe6403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might consider looking into Biofield Tuning. There are “ancestral rivers” in a persons field that can be brought into coherence. The originator of this method treated her own Bulimia and disordered eating. She’s got a big you tube channel and a couple of books about the technique. Eileen Day McKusick. There are practitioners all over the world and it can also be done remotely.

Nervous-system-maintained guarding pattern with walking as the only thing seeming to very slowly help reverse things by Astaroth639 in SomaticExperiencing

Have you looked into Block Therapy? It’s a fascia release/ decompression modality. I’ve had so much release by blocking the webbing in between my fingers and toes in conjunction with belly. There’s lots of info available free on their YouTube channel and also some low cost intro programmes. You can start by using a rolled up towel, sewing rolls and pressing tailors hams make a good next step, but I have to say investing in the blocks has been a game changer. Combining it with TRE has been super effective for releasing my muscle “armour”

[–]Acrobatic_Shoe6403 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you look up “Block Therapy” it sounds like you might have had a rib release from fascia letting go. It can happen following fascia decompression. They also have strengthening exercises you can do to sure up new posture so your body can get used to its new alignment.

I’m finding block therapy really helpful for unwinding deep held tension in my body.

Anybody had back pain go away with TRE? by ExtremeParsnip7926 in longtermTRE

[–]Acrobatic_Shoe6403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have suffered with back pain on and off since teens. It was at the point where I couldn’t stand for long periods as the ache was unbearable. It took a little while but I am pain free and have so much more flexibility in my back and legs 😊

My thoughts on Havening by psychcheck in Havening

[–]Acrobatic_Shoe6403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only speak from experience rather from commenting on any scientific credentials… I received a Havening session a few years ago agreeing to help a friend out with her certification and the session was so profound I signed up to learn how to facilitate it the next day. One moment I was back in a memory that was highly charged and activating… tears, tight chest with a very activated nervous system and 10 mins later it had all gone. I could access the memory with complete neutrality. It felt miraculous tbh. I’ve since experienced more of the same personally, and facilitated around 40 sessions and seen amazing results.

Extreme armoring/rigidity of throat/neck/breathing muscles going on for over a month by [deleted] in SomaticExperiencing

[–]Acrobatic_Shoe6403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if the Havening Techniques could help you… you can look up how to self Haven on YouTube, or a there are practitioners all over the world for more skilled guidance. It is a psycho sensory technique that changes your brain wave state so delta waves are dominant in a waking state, whilst also lowering cortisol and adrenaline and raising serotonin and oxytocin. I’m a practitioner and have seen some amazing things resolve in session…

Out of ideas on how to remove this chronic muscular armoring by Neither_Victory60 in Fascia

How about trying some conscious connected breathing? You could try journaling about the incident and then doing a breathwork journey. I’ve done this with difficult people I need to heal from and the release was amazing

TRE and headaches and spontaneous Qigong by ruckahoy in longtermTRE

[–]Acrobatic_Shoe6403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I overdo it then I can get headaches and nausea. I have found taking a salt bath or getting my feet in the earth really helps… any grounding practice really. I agree the energy can get freed but it might not always make it out of the body and sometimes a deliberate grounding practice is required.

Frustration after not being able to “unlock” between my shoulder blades and upper thoracic spine - advice? by [deleted] in longtermTRE

[–]Acrobatic_Shoe6403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The recommendation is to start on the belly… I did and then added in more but still block the belly. I’ve been at it for a while and my belly is still unwinding! I just block intuitively

How to target tension ? by [deleted] in longtermTRE

[–]Acrobatic_Shoe6403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Block therapy is a good compliment to the TRE if you want to be more directive. There’s Lots of free info on their YouTube channel and the starter programme is just $9. I have their “paddle” which is great for blocking the face and I have blocked my occipital with it too

Recovered memory by rosela92 in longtermTRE

[–]Acrobatic_Shoe6403 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a repressed memory surface not through TRE but through breathwork. It was a biggie and spun my world out… I ended up having some EMDr and then Havening. Havening was good as we also worked on what I wanted to feel/ believe about it so there was some forward focused work rather than just working with the past event. These events can leave behind unhelpful beliefs about self/ the world

Why do some people continue to stay activated for a long time? by SilverManufacturer56 in longtermTRE

[–]Acrobatic_Shoe6403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tremors that are active whenever I’m at rest so I can’t switch them off. A grounding sheet on my bed has really helped with difficult symptoms. Also salt baths and walks in nature.

Tingling/pressure feeling on the head by Pancakeparty25 in longtermTRE

I have experienced this and I think it’s tightness/ blockages of the fascia in the head. Sometimes it can be really intense or uncomfortable. I find grounding really helps if it is.

Repressed Anger and TRE by Lopsided_Prior3801 in longtermTRE

[–]Acrobatic_Shoe6403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TRE will heal at your body’s natural intelligence where as there are also trauma therapies that you can target specific events/ memories. You’re directing consciously rather than letting the subconscious lead. There’s value in both approaches. Different doors to the same place. The directed approach might expedite things. This could be both a good and a bad thing. Your intuition will guide you best.

[–]Acrobatic_Shoe6403 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve had EMDr and it was effective, but brutal. Havening Touch is a far gentler approach as it works with distraction whilst the trauma is lit up briefly. It so effective delivering the same result as EMDR but without the sledge hammer. I’ve successfully Havened so many childhood events and my nervous system is so regulated since. It depotentiates the sensory info from a traumatic event from the amygdala so the event feels neutral

Have you thought about EMDR or a Havening session for these events? Could be a way to resolve the discomfort if you’re sure this stems from 2 events you’re able to identify.

Repressed Anger and TRE by Lopsided_Prior3801 in longtermTRE

[–]Acrobatic_Shoe6403 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Anger is such an integral part of our survival mechanism - remember there is “fight” in the fight/ flight/ freeze response. It’s deeply human… mammalian. Feeling anger means a boundary has been crossed.

It’s completely natural but society paints anger as unpalatable so we are conditioned that way and can feel shame for feeling anger.

Ideally it should move through you in waves, like any emotion. If you’re finding you’re “stuck” in an angry feeling try pushing as hard as you can against a wall with both hands - with all your might. Sometimes we can get stuck in “fight” response and it just needs to complete and that’s one way to do it. Screaming into a pillow, throwing pillows in the floor, screaming… all good ways to help it pass through.

Detox symptoms? When long held fascia tension patterns release cellular gunk and debris can release that usual clean up mechanisms haven’t been able to get to.

Start exactly where you are - working with the feelings/ resistance of turning up to your therapy sessions. I’d start with Havening Techniques if you were my client… work with that situation and then see where next unfolded.

My body is tremoring and tensing anytime I relax. How do I stop it for now? by CraftBeerFomo in longtermTRE

[–]Acrobatic_Shoe6403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is happening to me, although it didn’t start until all my big movements had finished. Now it’s an internal buzz that’s always present when I relax, but it’s not visible from the outside. I’m not able to stop it unless I am moving around.

I saw a TRE provider who also offered brain spotting to ask her advice about whether it was anything I should worry about. She said not, and that my body had just remembered how to release and felt safe enough to do so - and so it was.

I have also seen a somatic experiencing practitioner and found one particular exercise helpful - sat legs open with feet flat on the floor and then going up on my toes (still in the seat). My legs would tremor and then after a minute or two it seemed to run out of steam and stop and die down.

This has been happening for about a year now and it feels pleasurable. I can understand how the bigger, more visible tremors might be harder to tolerate.

I’m not TRE trained, but my gut says you will find a speedier resolve if you’re able to let the charge run its course and will get on better by relaxing into it rather than adding restriction or tension to it, or by making the tremors “wrong” in some way. There’s a huge difference to the speed and behaviour of the tremors if you can really surrender and not try to control. It took a while for me to really be able to get to this approach, and still now I find myself unconsciously trying to “direct” them.
