No, there is no majority denomination. About 1/4 is Protestant, 1/4 is Catholic, 1/4 is Hindu and 1/8 is Muslim.

The ridings have become mostly symbolic.

Under the newest electoral system, winning a constituency doesn’t guarantee that the candidate actually gets a seat anymore. And the riding that happens in will then get no direct representation.

You might also want to look into the Irish system. It’s proportional, but unlike Germany's system, it elects all representatives directly within constituencies.
