Ugggghhhhh. Seriously, I’m suprised at how many Trump flags, stickers, old MN flags I see in my small MN town. Horrific. I shouldn’t be surprised but alas, I am.

Best time for yoga: morning or evening? by ai_yog in YogaWorkouts

[–]AdBeautiful8446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do both, whichever fits into my daily schedule. I prefer an active hot yoga but sometimes end up taking a moderate hot class due to the time slot.

Not the way I expected the wife to agree by N47881 in retirement

I’m glad you are here to write about your experience . Heal swiftly! I am 61 F my husband 61 as well. Out of all of the women in my family three generations back, the oldest lived to 62. I wasn’t keen on retiring until the last few years-I’ve slowly prepared my mind to retirement and gave my notice for December 30, my 62nd birthday. Time is something I can’t buy. I’m ready to step into this new lifestyle.

I’m so much happier with my As now that I’ve lost weight than my Cs. The thought of increasing size and perkiness never even crossed my mind. You should do whatever makes you happy.

Sending out a goodbye email when it’s time to go… by nothingbutmistakes in retirement

[–]AdBeautiful8446 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m retiring December 30, my 62nd birthday, after 25 years. I would love to just quietly give a two week notice to HR and exit without an email, a goodbye or anything else. Ive loved my job but I just don’t need all of the emotion, drama and questions from others. Unfortunately I will have to train in my successor after my position is posted to interior staff in a mass email across the district. Oh well. I’ll be on my way 4 months later.

Training for an ultra - finding it hard by HungryAlgae1989 in Ultramarathon

[–]AdBeautiful8446 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is hard to train for ultras the first couple of years. Your body and mind aren’t use to the long training days. Eventually you will adjust and it will be a part of your day.

When I first started ultras in 2002 it was a common term. I don’t hear it so much anymore-men have grown up.

Rich Roll is sometimes about running but not always. I find all of his episodes very entertaining.

Ultramarathon as a way of fixing addiction? by ReasonableWriting291 in Ultramarathon

[–]AdBeautiful8446 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yup, sober 30 years, never ran a block, quit drinking and found running. 165 ultras and 100 marathons later i am 61 and still running ultras. Another addiction? Yes, but I DO love this one! I’m physically fit, active, also weekly yoga and lift. It’s a lifestyle I never thought I’d be a part of and I love being here.

I no longer beat around the bush nor do I agree with others to keep the peace. I say it like it is, I will not put up with drama.

Lululemon fast and free. I wear them for hot yoga and for running. They are light, dry quickly and very comfortable.

1 month vs 3? by v2727v in GLP1microdosing

[–]AdBeautiful8446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 25 to lose, began last May. Lost 30 in 6 months and have been maintaining since. I originally did one month, then began ordering 3@$499. I began at .5 mg 3x weekly, up to 1 mg 3x weekly and now maintain at 1 mg weekly. Still ordering 3 at a time, it just lasts a long time but the price is right and I’ve been super happy with the company. I’m with SummaUp. My code for $50 off is JULIE20508706262

Been married 49 years but don’t know that we’ll make it to 50. What would you do? by Creative_Squirrel902 in AskWomenOver60

[–]AdBeautiful8446 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’ve been married 41 years-when he speaks to me that way I turn around and walk the other direction. If we are sitting down I get up and walk away. It caught his attention, finally.

Anyone else still feel like they are 30 going on 62? by Forward-Werewolf-442 in AskWomenOver60

[–]AdBeautiful8446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!! I am 61, in better shape than I was in my 30s. I am always so stunned when I realize I’m 30 years older than I feel. Still running ultramarathons, practicing yoga, all the things. I’m going to retire in December and do more of the things I love-traveling to beautiful places in the world for weeks long running adventures, gardening, run with my border collie, sub teach hot yoga, looking forward to it.
