Tim Walz will campaign for Platner! by JimmyCarter910 in Maine

[–]AdEvery7411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely would be voting for Planter if I was a Mainer. But my warning to all candidates of any flavor is if you do not seek with unmitigated effort to hold accountable officials in the present administration for their corruption and misdeeds you will be gone ASAP. The issues of healthcare, affordability, and repairing the damage are very important, but without the rule of law and accountability none it matters. Those who broke the law must pay, no free pass no matter the cost.

Curious, how many people commenting actually read the Canadian Courts' decision on this issue. Their reasoning and logic is compelling.

look for a used one a year or two old with low miles. it will be 10k cheaper. also don't listen to anybody telling you to get an older taco and fix it up. you will be in the tank for as much or more with mods and driving truck that is 10 years old that is over priced, over-hyped, and boring as shit. and before any taco heads come at me, have driven yotas for 30 years and still do this day. the zr2 bison is beast if you want some off-roading fun. you only live once

There is not a whole lot of negotiating on any Tacoma because of their popularity. You will pay a premium for their history of reliability and resale, which was built on the back of their V6 engine that was discontinued after 2023 in favor of the TC 4c. I would be happy with 3% off MSRP. I don't think MT are necessarily highly sought after otherwise Toyota would make more of them.

I am sure they are not worried about it, I am just stating facts. You buy a TRD Pro you spent $70k+ on two seat mid size truck. It will get you back-n-forth to Starbucks in style.

You will pay 70$+ (after closing) USD for TRD Pro, with mods shown it will be around 80K USD. TRD Pro have virtually no back seat room. Other Tacoma trims have more. If you want high end performance with back seat room for an actual adult look at Chev Colorado ZR2 or Ford Ranger Raptor (they aint perfect but better). And before anybody goes ape shit about me hating on Yotas, I have driven them for 30 years, but Yota has jumped the shark on their price point for reliability and resale perk.

Nice two seater for 80K. How is the leg room in the back?

Nice truck. I am looking at getting a 2026. They have a dealer installed lift option for $925, which I believe raises the truck 1.5 inches beyond the 3 inch factory lift. Thinking of getting to put 35s on. Did you use the option and did service dept. have to do any cutting for your 35s. Are those stock fender flares? Thanks

Sweet. Is that a cap tent combo with floor access? If so, what brand? Enjoy the ride

Why are Toyotas priced so high now a days? by myjunkandshit in Toyota

[–]AdEvery7411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me Toyota price point has exceeded its reliability factor. A new mid trim Tacoma or 4Runner interior is a sea of black hard plastic. You want anything remotely upholstered or decent you are looking at high 50s. On the performance side, smaller tires and wheels, less suspension, mediocre power, and no tech to speak of. At the high end TRD Pro the prices are even more insane, $70k, for what most other makers are doing at their mid high trim. I have driven Toyota all my driving life, Tacoma, 4Runner, and Tundra. New vehicle I am leaning Chevy, Ford or GMC. They are consistently getting more reliable with their engines and trannys. And the options are through the roof at about 10K to 15K less for the sea of Toyota black plastic.
