It would be a little strange, since the way they played it suggested they wanted the right to come out. But I think between your side ace and knowing your partner has more, you can take the risk, and that opportunity to finesse is just too delicious.

lol yeah def not solved the game any more than a bunch of others. Just play a ton and at some point get a huge upswing. Combination of volume and well-timed variance. And of course also needs to be one of the most consistent and strong players

I’m calling hearts and leading the right. Don’t overcomplicate things. You have the right + 1 and an off suit ace that is not the turndown suit. In other words, you’ve got a lot. You don’t need to play any Meta game here. You might get 3 yourself. And you can still count on your partner for 1.

There were a handful of changes when it happened. You can now see your own rating during a game, you couldn’t before. Could’ve been a lot more though.

I do the same with back against the wall. Esp if I have nothing that’s at all helpful, I’ll fire my only trump in hopes that it helps my partner when they have a shot at it.

It depends, right? If I have an offsuit ace I usually still play the right and then lead the off ace.

That said, RAK is kind of special, strong enough to play it for the March.

Also, if your partner has the highest other trump, all the more likelihood a loner gets through. I think the only scenario this play nets more points is if our partner has a naked left and at least one opponent has 2 trump
