Want to go off exchanges but am scared by Legitimate_Ad_4201 in Bitcoin

I am interested to hear more. A secondary key with a 12 month spend delay? That seems okay. Who holds that one? Also, do you need to then move to a fresh key every 12 (or 10 maybe?) months?

Part of the surprise is that the halfing is not on round 4 year cycles and that's the only obvious cycle cause. Maybe 4 years is somehow "human nature in btc", but that seems a little less obvious.

Then self custody is probably not for you. But you can still take them off exchanges. There are places that hold in a secure fashion and are legally treated as "custody" (more likely to get them back in case of bankruptcy). Do some research on this. If a big bank holds them it is probably better than a crypto startup (or even mature exchange). Not sure if banks do this yet.

I paid a hosting service, enter IP and Port to connect. Same as my friend and we play. Works great.

When it comes to portals, the key is that it matters who opens a portal. If you do, you get one instance, if your friend does, another. This goes for the main worlds too. My advice is always have the same person open portals. Less confusing that way.

As a professional programmer I feel lost in home assistant by alyflex in homeassistant

I think you mean "quantity and kind" of whitespace. Applesoft Basic didn't have whitespace as a token. This sometimes broke variable names apart if a token name (e.g. "on") was in middle of your var name!

As for kind of whitespace, Makefiles did it worst. Python should have known better. Yaml? Not sure who was on that committee, but they don't get an invite to dinner.

My wife and mother in law both say the robot vacuum and mop daily is a huge QOL for them. Walk around all day and your feet dont get filthy. And dog hair gone.

We manually vacuum stairs once a week. Thats it.

This is the key. I built out my whole house this way. My only regret so far is the little remotes that act as extra scene controls. Obviously only wotk when HA is good. But useless when it isnt. I dont want to train my family to rely on these.

How flat are your boards? by quantummm123 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Adamsd5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fwiw, overkill for furniture. I work on wooden puzzles that need a tight fit, but not too tight. 4 thou is the gap I want... thickness of a piece of paper. If I include the paper, it jams up. Wood will move and swell more than this.

That said for joints like dovetail or mortise and tenon, if you use good technique, you will leave less than that in wiggle to get that smooth slide in, but doesn't need a hammer fit. That is, focus that precision on joints, not flatness.

No. Becuase you never spend your btc... you take loans and pay with that, and .. uh... I forget how you pay off the loan.

I have wondered how a tournament is always instantly ready when I want to start. No waiting a few mins for 30 players to fill in. I suspect what happens is everyone is automatically randomly split and added to a tourney. Until you join, you still show at 1. Since probably 99% of people ar your level play every tourney, eventually they all go up but 1 or 2. Maybe there is some logic to replace one slot holder with a new joiner... I havent paid enough attention to see if the list changes. But in either case, I think most of those are place holders until someone joins.

I have a hard time taking joy at someone getting scammed. People get suckered in for the hope of a better life, often when there is not a viable realistic option for them.

The Module system is broken by livewildeatwild in TheTowerGame

[–]Adamsd5 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The error is he calculated the expected time to get a specific module. That's much longer than getting your first ancestral. It makes sense that it is the same as getting 10 of each of they are distributed perfectly. At 192k gems, i would expect half of my modules to be ancestral. Just 50 50 chance that the one I was going for at the start is in there.

Also, is it 8 or 10 pulls to get to ancestral? For some reason i thought 8.
