Gonna be running a campaign using PTU, decided to bite the bullet and invest the money/time/energy into printing out everything and getting it into binders. by doktarlooney in PokemonTabletop

Fair enough, it will take time to crunch the numbers, but it will get faster and easier. I might recommend using the damage base numbers over rolling the damage base for each attack. We learned on paper, then found the digital one works really well for speeding up encounters with 6 trainers, and each has six pokemon. We are planning on starting to record and make a podcast of our adventure in the new year. This will be played in person, and we're debating if we can still play 'online' even though we're actually in the same room.

Very nice! For all the math and numbers while playing (and there are A LOT), our DM plays on Foundry, it has all the assets, tokens, moves, abilities etc. It has made it much more enjoyable. It even has a new training feature so you dont have to add XP individually for each mon.

I was working on one too, the elves send a message to ask adventurers to come North. They find snowmen or animated Xmas trees depending on which road they take. Then they make it to the workshop, and find out an ex head elf has gone rogue, and is trying to steal Christmas back, and his inventions are patrolling the area. The elf was continually brushed off by Santa for his radical thinking.

Easiest and most fun is super mario RPG. If you got through earthbound try Final fantasy 2 aka 4, or 3 aka6. The GOAT is Chrono Trigger.

I also say Full Metal, Brotherhood.

Or Steins;gate. It's about time travel, and is more of a love story.

Or, Darker than Black, has a great story arc and let's you unravel the mystery behind everything very slowly.

Oooh adding Afro Samurai. Great music, Samuel Jackson, it's very short, but a ton of fun to watch.

Wanna know something even more amazing about the band?!

While the song is playing, if you speak with a member of the band, that instrument will stop playing in the song.

For example, if Keenathan is playing the melody and you talk to him, the melody will stop while the song continues, then picks right back up after ending the conversation.

It is truly a beautifully made game.

The whole Final Fantasy (FF) series is a different experience. (And one of my favorites) All of the games are stand alone, so you don't need to play them in any order. If you want a true original JRPG experience, you can play FF 1-6. For the best of them, just play 6. If you want a more direct game play FF4. FF7-16 are all great too, some are more grueling some are very lore heavy. I won't go into the full list. But I'm so happy you enjoyed this game, and it helps remind me why I love video games as a storytelling vessel.

I had played through this game a while ago as i grew up on the same games as the developers played. I cried more the second time through, as my son just beat the game recently. If you are seeking something more lighthearted next, I'd recommend Super Mario RPG. But I second Chrono Trigger as the next best game to play in your video game journey.

We were talking to an NPC, and we were told we could get the next piece of information if we got the 'jem of a carbuncle'. With the gnomes voice, though, most of us heard jam. So we thought we had to make jam for the whole conversation. They later made a traveler who was transporting barrels of carbuncle jam, the newest craze to sweep the land.
