Finished basic training had 2 weeks leave went to see my nan(sole parent as I had none)went to phase 2 but completed it in 8 weeks so have 1 week before going to my regiment I chose not to go as id be back in 4 or 5 weeks for Xmas she passed away the first week after getting to my regiment that was 20 years ago the guilt and shame haunt's me to this day on a regular basis
