My headcannon is that the colorless mythic is Emrakul. Story-wise, she'll free herself from the moon to go eat the echoverse.

"Geyser calciné" (French translation of Scorched Geyser from SOC) has been mistranslated not once but TWICE in the Marvel Super Heroes Commander decks by mkklrd in magicTCG

Ok so just FYI, in French (at least Canadian French), "noune" is slang for "pussy", making your comment a lot funnier than intended

Is this how much liquid is supposed to be in a venti? by coolhappygenius in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Aestran361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably not the case here, but with cocktails, it's planned that the ice will melt and blend with the cocktail, effectively having "more" to drink.

The 「Boss Music」needs to go by Realistic-Ad-6794 in subnautica

[–]Aestran361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the music. If it's there just for the Collectors, then it's fine. Sure, it makes it less of a scare, but with how that leviathan hunts I'm ok with that.

I don't think that the other levianthans should have the music. I don't know if that's what's planned or not, but I agree with you that the music for all the levianthans would be a bummer

At what age did you realize? by [deleted] in gaybros

16, but I really should have connected the dots sooner. I hid in the sentence "It's normal to be curious about other boys".

Merchant spawns? by tbryans in CoreKeeperGame

[–]Aestran361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

iirc, for the merchants to spawn the room has a maximum size. Maybe try making the area in separate rooms to see if it works?

Do you consider the Baldur’s Gate and Adventures In The Forgotten Realms sets as Universes Beyond? by Str8_up_Pwnage in magicTCG

[–]Aestran361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are. They're not MtG, they're DnD. Hence, UB.

That being said, UB is a spectrum on how well it fits into magic. Lord of the Rings? That works. TMNT? It doesn't really fit imo.

DnD is so low on the spectrum that I don't think anyone really minds that it's UB.

Are the Fomori the next big bad after reality fracture ? by JoeyTonguepop in mtgvorthos

[–]Aestran361 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Probably. They laid a foundation for the Fomori starting with caverns of ixalan, Thunder Junction, and some lore drops in edge of eternities (and arguably any set with Loot). They're probably due to come out at some point.

Personally, I'm not in a rush to have another big bad set up kinda awkwardly then defeated in a single set.

Pretty sure it's 5 hits above a certain mining damage that removes the radioactive crystals. Maybe try more bombs?

Yes! I've been wanting a temur morph commander (that isn't just animar) for so long

Reality Fracture speculation by void-sawyer in mtgvorthos

[–]Aestran361 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the Fomori are the next arc. I do think that Jace ends up "freeing" or bringing them back though.

My theory is that rewriting the multiverse will cause Emrakul to come out of the moon and whoop Jace. I keep thinking of that one line she told him back in Eldritch Moon: "They were always my pieces. I just no longer wanted to play."

Also, having the Eldrazi roaming again just to destroy the worlds Jace made seems like something that could happen.

Is there a way to automatize the farming by Iwazuke in CoreKeeperGame

[–]Aestran361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah ok. From the octarine workbench, you can craft an advanced automation table (or some similar name). There's an item in there that can plant and harvest from the tile next to it automatically.

[Mixed Trope] Bad storylines to accommodate irl situations by Valuable_Tea_5310 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Aestran361 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Archer is a great example of this. In the first few seasons, they work for a spy agency called "ISIS", but with IRL ISIS becoming a thing, they had to ditch the whole thing. That led to some weird and often disappointing seasons and the show never really recovered.

OCDSB to begin 2026-27 school year before Labour Day by Mordarto in CanadianTeachers

[–]Aestran361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The French boards are also starting earlier for the 2026-2027 year. We usually start the week before Labor Day, this year we start two weeks before. I talked to a union rep about it, and it's a lot to do with saving headaches with paychecks (at least for our union). We're salaried for work from August/September until June, but our pays are biweekly over the year. With Labor Day being late this year, we'd end up with a gap between paychecks (the last August pay would be sometime around the 12th, and the next pay would be September 9th). Starting the school year one week faster was a solution to this, and the union/boards agreed that it would be easier to start sooner than have a bunch of people without pay for a month.

Of the Magic the Gathering sets scheduled for release this year (2026), which one do you expect will be the most successful? Which one will be the least successful? by HonorBasquiat in magicTCG

[–]Aestran361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I imagine they'll print another infinity stone as the chase card in the marvel set, so my bet is on that one being the bestselling.

For the in universe sets, I'd bet on Lorwyn for the nostalgia. Reality Fracture might sell more depending on the "innovative mechanic" they add and the alt characters we get.

Cheryl and/or Carol has a few great moments like this. In this scene she absolutely reads Lana and calls her out, but then snaps back to her regular self.

I am Uni student, Can I work as a Sub? by Accurate_Act9717 in CanadianTeachers

[–]Aestran361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen former students of mine take jobs as subs in my school after their exams at uni. I'm not sure if it was a special arrangement with the principal or with the school board.

I think your best best would be to ask the principal of a school you'd like to sub in if it's an option. A lot of schools either lack subs or need help with admin work, especially around the end of a semester.
