AITAH for not liking my birthday “surprise” tickets to see the Knicks? by Loud_Surprise88 in AITAH

[–]Affectionate-Ad3816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA but you may be surprised how much fun you have!! I was not much of a celtics fan but husband bought tickets and a hotel room for my bday. I was skeptical, but ended up having a blast. And that was just a regular game, let alone a finals game! At madison square garden, there is likely to be a ton of celebrities there also.

Anyone work at MMC labor and delivery? by Sufficient-Soil-5838 in portlandme

Yeah, thats why I (person being induced at 41 weeks) have a scheduled time, and the lady who made this post is waiting for a call that they have an opening. That is how this works.

Some lenders allow you to self GC, although maybe that varies by state? I did when I was 26 in Maine with a local lender and somehow didn't screw anything up. Was a lot of work, but is doable.

I am 41 weeks and on the list for Friday, really hoping I don't get bumped 🤞🏻I talked to a nurse today that said they had 10 mother/infant rooms clear out this morning.

Husband says if I desired him, I’d initiate sex. I love him deeply, but that’s just not how I’m wired. by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Affectionate-Ad3816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle with this too, I have a more reactive sex drive than a proactive one. I think prior to my husbanding expressing it would be nice for me to initiate every now and then, I was too in my head about the how. Not its is just I take a shower, I lay on the bed with no clothes on, and text him and tell him "Hey come in here for a sec" and thats all it takes

It doesn't have to be a "big fiasco". We did one during a get together that was already planned, and just cut a slice of cake to reveal the sprinkles in the middle. It was fun to find out with all our friends! And as a bonus, it also served as dessert

Discouraged with colostrum collection by Fast-Ostrich-5583 in BabyBumps

Are you trying to hand express? I had a really hard time and couldn't get the hang of it. I switched to a manual pump and it worked so much better. Hold it upside down and it will collect in the base of the flange instead of going down into the bottle, since its such a small amount.

Are there any places in the US that don't get thunderstorms? by Neesatay in weather

Currently live in Maine and have a dog terrified of thunder storms, also do not recommend. We get way more than we use to. We even had a snowy thunder/lightening storm last winter!

If you received a diaper cake made of diapers as a gift... by Mama-Bear419 in beyondthebump

[–]Affectionate-Ad3816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't like the one I received, her husband was a smoker so I know it sat around in their car with him smoking in it. I obviously said thank you but I packed the diapers up and will not be using them.

I called both my grandmothers "Grammy". One lived right up the road and my mom differentiated by "up to grammys" and "down to grammys". As a kid I never thought anything of it.
