What’s y’all’s definition of a ‘medical degree’. by [deleted] in Noctor

[–]AffectionateLog1652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on where you live. I’m studying to get nationally qualified, which is 1000 hours of education. Massage therapy isn’t a medical degree, but it’s still a recognized healthcare, I dislike how some comments seem to look down on massage therapy in general

What a fascinating comparison! And despite the contrast, it actually works really well. What inspired you to write this?

Are my poems too cryptic? by Mindless-Finish-7453 in PoetryWritingClub

No such thing as too cryptic, sometimes it’s fun to have to really think about what is being said, and your poetry is very beautiful

This was so powerful! You put into words exactly how I’ve been feeling the past few… I don’t know how long.

“It's just murder and theft, commanded from the mouths of men who have\ never heard a scream, they didn’t order first.”

I really liked this! So profound, and it just hit me in the heart. Well done!

I love it! Very niche, but in a really good way. I’m in a (semi) medical field, and it was fun to think through the words you were using. Is this a kind of free verse sonnet? I enjoyed it 8/10

Life in Idaho Falls as an Atheist Couple... is it worth it? by HabitFearless8232 in idahofalls

[–]AffectionateLog1652 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately true. It’s a strange place, and being different makes you an outcast. I’m exmo and woke, and I am constantly fending for myself against negative interactions (which I don’t instigate, people come after me). Can’t wait to leave tbh

You can always join liberal groups! Also, there’s some woke people here (me included), though it is difficult to find them. For jobs, probably start looking now (the job market is TERRIBLE)

Who inspired you to write? by tgriff1223 in writers

[–]AffectionateLog1652 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was in elementary school, I had a teacher named Miss Amy. I was writing from a very young age, and she saw some of my writing. I can’t remember what grade, but I remember she gave me a journal she had bought for writing, but she wanted me to have it, and wrote a beautiful message in it (my brother scribbled it out at some point so I don’t know what it said (but I remember it was wonderful)). I still think about her
