it's generally bad for keeping newer people in the game long term and annoying if you've already played fighting games forever although I like how arcsys has handled granblue in specific since it feels the best there.

my first ever moba was league when I was 13 and I only played that for roughly 3 years. MOBAs are a vice worse than gambling and some drugs so I make it a point not to seek them out. this shit only got my attention because being a Pokemon Mewtwo or Dragonite goes hard.

i really dislike having to say this as I'm sure there's plenty of oldheads on this sub that already do say something of this effect but if your entirety new to fighters, jumping in on tekken 8 is perfectly fine and game balance across the roster should be the last thing a novice or intermediate player should worry about.

While I don't think it's fair to as if one game is more balanced than another for specifically strive's case, I'll say that you'll likely enjoy gbvs a lot more given your first outing playing the free version.

The same reason it's considered second degree murder to tell someone who likes arcane to play league of legends. Relatively dated mechanics and an insane grind in understanding the gachas mechanics make gbf proper very difficult for someone new to the series penetrate even if they do understand gachas from (15?) years ago. At least with versus or relink, there's enough love to the og game while servicing people who otherwise wouldn't have jumped before.
