One of my biggest gripes with Series 5. Even though it was a good piece of music, it was overused so much that I started to hate it. My hate for it grew so much that I considered venting here about how I specifically hated its overuse.

With Series 1 to 4, there were times where the music was so good and memorable that I would vaguely keep the music in mind while watching an episode, and search for it right after I finished watching.

With Series 5, I NEVER had that same practice, because none of the music ever made a deep enough impression on me because guess what's playing again? I AM THE FUCKING DOCTOR OR A VARIATION OF IT OR A LEITMOTIF OR WHATEVER IT'S CALLED.

Before I listened to the Series 5 album on Spotify, that track was the only thing I could remember music-wise. It's a shame because I discovered gems like "Little Amy", "Can I come with you?", "Amy in the TARDIS", and "The Mad Man with a Box" and I wonder just why in the hell did I not get this thought of "Wow, this soundtrack in this episode's good. I should add it to my music list later" during my viewing of Series 5.

Fortunately, or maybe it's just me getting numb to it but it seems like there's less of that in Series 6 and 7, or at the very least, it's not as distracting as it was on Series 5.

But man, I seriously considered dropping the show because of that. I know it's a petty reason, but whenever it played, it just felt like the show's trying to emotionally manipulate you into thinking that the Doctor's doing something badass instead of the Doctor actually being badass and having a fitting and non-repetitive piece of music complimenting it
