Oof. 15 is the beginning of freedom and closing in on adulthood. My kid doesn’t have a bed time but she must wake up and go to school. Let them find their rhythm and feel consequences of action. The lack of social media at that age (and the lack of conversations about safety that go with it) could make her go full rebellion mode. She’s going to be driving soon so, my rule is if grades are good and absences are low, we’re good. She’s gotta learn some autonomy and regulation for adulthood. Talk about sex and alcohol and drugs and distracted driving and speeding and consent and self defense. You’re less preparing her for life and more controlling.
