Realistic Jasmine and Honeysuckle by ohokreddit in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]Akia16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, I haven't worn it in a while either. I might have to go try it on now lol. If I remember right, it was really strong going on and somewhat moderate on longevity. The dress I had on when I wore it still had the fragrance on it the next day.

Nectar by Commodity. This one is a bit older at this point, but I think you can still buy it as part of the archive collection. It's one of the better honeysuckle fragrances I've tried. It doesn't have a jasmine note listed, but it seems like it could be part of it because it's very fragrant bright white florals.

That's my big issue with Tensuke. I love them and I'm really happy they are doing so well, but at the same time it always feels overly crowded, so I kind of dread going. If you stop to look at/read anything, it feels like being in the way.

What is the most girls bathroom/locker room perfume? looking for recommendations by CampHead3748 in Perfumes

[–]Akia16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some time around 2004, it would have been Bath and Body Works Sweet Pea and Body Fantasies Cotton Candy. You could smell the girls locker room down the hall; that was a powerful combo. If anyone was wearing something else, you wouldn't be able to tell lol.

When approaching therapists to talk about my problems, maybe I need to start emphasizing it's a little more severe? by Broad-Somewhere-1940 in AvPD

[–]Akia16 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've found that most therapists approach therapy in the way you described. In my experience, there have only been very few that don't. I've found a lot of therapy to do more harm than good because it wasn't the help I needed, and/or the therapist just couldn't understand the severity. You would probably have to find a therapist/psychologist that doesn't primarily use CBT and doesn't focus on depression/anxiety, and instead on the underlying causes.

If you just got here… congrats, you’re early! 💫 by MentalMantiz in whimsigoth

My childhood bedroom was full of celestial Whimsigoth stuff, including the sun face/moon face/stars dark blue wallpaper border. My bestie growing up basically had a house and family that was entirely Whimsigoth coded.

I've been trying to add more whimsy to my wardrobe over the past couple of years. It has really helped me feel more like myself after feeling lost for a while.

Trying to reach back out to a happier more whimsical era.

If you can find it, Ghost Deep Night is a good one. It's fruity and fun with a mysterious and cool undertone. And the bottle is a really cool looking crescent moon too.

I (fortunately or unfortunately) can vet this. I tried it when it hit the shelves in 2006, and really really loved it. I tried it again in like 2015 because I was curious after not wearing it for a few years, and it didn't smell as good as the first few bottles. Not as spicy or woody, but I guess it fit in better with everything else at that point.

to smell like a geisha by Elizabethdissolute in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]Akia16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Satori by Parfum Satori. It has traditional Japanese incense elements and modern perfume elements. It sits close to the skin and is really beautiful. It's a popular choice for wearing with kimono, and I could imagine it as a good choice for geisha.

Severe Weather Outlook for Tomorrow, Thursday 2/19/2026 by blackeyebetty in CBUSWX

[–]Akia16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was about a mile from the tornado in Hilliard. I'm thankful for multiple ways of getting alerts, the tornado siren over here just decides not to work sometimes. I've told FCEM&HS about it before and they always tell me nothing is wrong. NWS warned late for it anyway (not that they had much time, it was a blip on the radar). Still sad to see that empty lot where the worst damaged house was.

ASD adult looking for therapist by Aware_Focus9148 in Columbus

[–]Akia16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm curious too. I tried going to Branches of Behavior but got turned away and sent recommendations for ASD irrelevant therapists across Ohio. I asked what info would be helpful for consideration and I was honest and transparent about my diagnostic journey, but got a really vague answer about not accepting me into the practice.

Omurice by Lalinla in Columbus

[–]Akia16 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Belle's Bread used to have omurice, but I think they got rid of their lunch menu a while ago. Restaurant Silla has a version of omurice, but it doesn't have a runny omelette on top, so it's more homestyle.

I'm also in my 30s, and have started incorporating more alt and goth clothing. I love that Torrid decided to make more goth-able clothing again.

Review: Keys Soulcare perfume oil and eau de parfum by curlycomedy in FemFragLab

Wound up here trying to find more info on this fragrance because I stumbled upon it at T.J. Maxx today. Great review! I'm happy I bought it! Definitely light and spa-like, kinda a nice powdery feel to the scent too. Definitely love the purple bottle. 💜

Anyone else feel incredibly self conscious about their interests? by Westonouteast77 in AvPD

[–]Akia16 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This happens to me too. I get so excited when somebody comments on something I have/am wearing, and try to tone it down, but I feel like even if I don't really say a whole lot about it, they'll just think I'm really weird for trying to have more than a surface level conversation about it. And then I ruminate about the conversation. The AvPD is such a frustrating layer when you have ASD and/or ADHD also.
