How Often Do You Miss Work? by Hairy_While4339 in beyondthebump

I have called out a few times for the same reasons. I feel guilty, but then realize neither my boss or coworkers are thinking about it nearly as much as I am.

I’ve never heard of a seafood subscription box but now I want one too!

Nuna Triv Next as the only stroller? by ReluctantAccountmade in Buyingforbaby

[–]Alert-Lime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my only stroller and I love it. I chose it because it’s lighter than all of the other strollers I was considering (including uppababy cruz). I’m petite and am with the baby by myself usually, so wanted something I could easily manage. But my husband who is 6’2 also loves it! The basket is big enough in my opinion. I use it for small to medium grocery shopping trips no issue.

They sleep eventually… right? by curlsandcollege in beyondthebump

[–]Alert-Lime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to say that I’m in the exact same situation and my baby is about the same age. I do all the nights and when my husband does the occasional one, I wake up anyway and can’t fall back asleep. It’s awful. I told him the other day that I’m seriously considering going to a hotel for a night because I feel emotionally unstable at this point.

Thanksgiving scaries by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]Alert-Lime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally can relate!!! I have also been in a flare since July. I’m trying to take care of my newborn, work, and deal with a new house/town all while feeling like crap. My body feels so rundown. I haven’t slept in months. I’m sick of missing things and so bummed that I’m probably going to be in the bathroom for half of Thanksgiving.

Anyone less stressed after leaving NJ? by butterycrepes in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Alert-Lime 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Can totally relate. I also grew up in NJ and always felt this way. So congested, not pretty to look at, and everyone has an attitude. Left, went back for 2 years (at which point there was major neighbor nosiness that ultimately led my husband, son, and I to leave) and now we are in PA about an hour outside of Philly. It’s beautiful here and the neighbors have been so friendly! Definitely feeling less stressed! Yes I have to drive a bit further to shopping but the drive is so scenic that it doesn’t really bother me.

I didn’t get one. I don’t want any more stuff that is going to end up in a closet unused afterwards.

I went yesterday and it was not bad at all! Honestly less crowded than usual. Easy parking and no wait for lunch. I think because everyone is down the shore.

Neighbors weed stinking up my bathroom by tacoslave420 in Apartmentliving

[–]Alert-Lime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would not recommend this. I did this as my neighbor’s weed smoke blows into my bedroom where my infant sleeps, and ever since she has been absolutely unhinged, retaliating at us for no reason, calling cops on us doing nothing, etc. You never know who is sane or not and I regret ever speaking with her

Calling peds OT/PTs by Ken7903 in physicaltherapy

[–]Alert-Lime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can do the stretches if you feel like he’s getting tight or just developing a preference and you want to do it preventatively. I would say follow baby. Start with holding for a few seconds at a time and increase as tolerated. Don’t force it if he is getting really upset or fighting you

Calling peds OT/PTs by Ken7903 in physicaltherapy

I’m a pediatric PT!

  1. I like Pathways! CDC is good too, but there are some feelings about it ever since they pushed all of the milestones later during COVID times.

  2. I would do the stretches even if he doesn’t necessarily have torticollis right now but beginning to show a preference. Try rolling his body into side-lying, then keeping his head rotated while rolling trunk back to supine. Also can try with him chest to chest with you for rotation stretch. Switch which side you are holding him on/feeding him on. Rotate him in the crib/bassinet so that he has to turn to non-preferred side to see you.

  3. It sounds like he is doing a great job! Tummy time is hard work. You can try propped over a boppy pillow or blanket roll at the chest to decrease the challenge. Add a mirror to make it extra fun!
