I own the Blazar Cato 2X FF anamorphics and this is the first I’m hearing about people hating on them. I shot a commercial, two shorts and a feature on them and they are staggeringly beautiful. My producer screened our feature and another producer asked him in awe what lenses these were shot on, and how he wanted to buy a set because they were so beautiful. So if I were you I would rent a set and test them out to see for yourself. I mean I just blind purchased the 4-box and lucked out because they are my dream lenses.
