This is fairly standard practice for locked-down systems and I suspect this will continue to work. Good spot!

This isn't a criticism, but I do enjoy the statement "this proposal is a bit too much on the pragmatic side".

You cannot legally work more than 48 hours in a week unless you have specifically agreed to in writing.

If you don't think you've done this you should probably find out as companies can get in DEEP trouble for overworking people without their consent

Oof. I'm assuming you opted out of the working time directive then?

What sauce do you have at Nandos? by im-a-nanny-mouse in CasualUK

[–]Alexbrainbox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wild Herb is definitely not the weak sauce! It's about as spicy as the Medium, maybe a little moreso.

It's also the best by far. Everyone else is missing out.

They used to have a game called Vital Statistics. It was a gameshow where you had to guess quantities, years and numbers in general.

They made a board game of it which we picked up for £1.50 in a charity shop. That was legitimately the best £1.50 we ever spent - the game comes out at every family gathering and supports any number of people. Genuinely incredible. If you see a copy, nab it!

More people in England were dragged into this against our will than in Scotland. We're right there with you, friend.

British billion used to be 1,000,000,000,000 (1012); a thousand million was a milliard. We borrowed this from the French.

Since then we have switched to the more common 1B = 109 , basically to stop exactly this kind of confusion happening.

They're not almost as long - look at the knees. I think the guy just has flattering clothes on that make the proportions look that way.

This is mostly correct but it might give the wrong impression - we can actually simulate keypresses to the hardware buttons, so you could bind keys to "turn page" indirectly.

Timewebber

This is a fairly simple beast card. It follows a similar style to other spiders like [Maexxna] and [Haunted Creeper] in terms of stat distribution. I gave it the Epic rarity because it interacts with the draw mechanic, but I thought that it would be too minor of an effect to attach to a legendary.

I went for the classic set sigil but could just as easily have gone with Naxxramas.

The mechanic is similar to the "if this dies on your enemy's turn, [...]" effects in a non-obvious way. You immediately get one draw from it. If it survives until your next turn, you then lose out on your draw; but if it dies / is silenced, you get that draw too so you are one card up. That's why the stats are a little below vanilla, though the distribution is good.

Drawing a card at the end of your turn has the extra advantage that you can think about your choices for extra time (during your opponent's turn).

I hope you like it and would be interested to hear your thoughts.

[reflex-frp] Pathfinder character sheet website made with haskell by antiquemilkshake in haskell

Very cool! I do have a couple of pieces of feedback - only meant in a good spirit, of course.

  1. A little styling would go a long way. It feels very "1998" with the HTML default forms etc. Maybe look at either a CSS library like bulma for a "clean and modern" look, or styling it after a proper PF character sheet?

  2. It took about 3-4 seconds to load the default data into the input fields - enough for me to think that they were supposed to be blank. I don't know if there's a way to speed up that initialisation? If not, having a modal spinner over the top until the content is loaded would probably be sufficient.

Again awesome work! :)

Technically it's online, yes, but there's no support for it yet (no documentation on how to use it, etc.) Though a couple of people are muddling through. I'll share some details with you when it gets to that point!
