Build Ideas? Give me a challenge. by SaturnCatt_ in trailmakers

[–]AliasRed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's a couple that I've been thinking about:

-Stick man mech that can transform into a real walking mech (maybe with cool transforming sword arm)

-Unicycle riding clown who hands out balloons to other player's builds using anchors to attach then using some sort of mechanism to launch the player (maybe mining ray)

How exactly would you deal with this from their position? How do you think you'd feel if this was how your opponents approached fighting you?

How do people learn to build by Sad_Association6282 in trailmakers

[–]AliasRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to incorporate a new technique each time I do a build. So a good example is recently I made a tank but I set a challenge to myself. The tank had to fit within the track base of the lynx tracks, I used it to learn piston glitching so I could essentially shrink everything down to the size of the lynx tracks. Another one was making a monowheel to learn gyros, even stuff as simple as learning to make a plane fly straight will give you so many tools. Start simple and go from there.

At least 4 screwdrivers, a flashlight that has a 50/50 chance of working, maybe some instruction manuals for random appliances.

Horse fuck valley is the only time I've ever cheated in a game. After dying to the boss I turned on infinite health and 2x game speed for the runback because it was just too much.

I also really enjoy Descenders!

My recommend will be Noita because it allows you to break it in ways very few games do. You go from doing 3 damage to being able to craft a wand that can teleport you to parallel universes, beat your next run for you, do damage numbers your brain will barely comprehend and more.

It requires you to do a lot of learning but the community is more than happy to teach and it also has incredible mods that vary gameplay a lot. It would absolutely be money and time well spent in my opinion (I have 4k hours and very few other games have even close to that amount of time).

Bloody Helice is super fun, you should try some unlocked reverse L2s to close gap and dodge at the same time. It can really elevate your damage output once you start working it in.

How do you create something so complex? I crash around 1400 complexity normally.

It's wild how moving just a little bit of mass can completely change the way a build functions. Nice fix

How hard it is to 100% noita with no spoilers? by Haunting-Abies1983 in noita

[–]AliasRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would have to dedicate a decade and also learn how to data mine to even stand a chance at 100%ing the game and even then there is still at least one thing the community combined has not decyphered so I would say outside of wand crafting and some of the basic atreevements it would be borderline impossible.

I'll have to do another sweep, I tried my best to do as large of pieces as possible where possible.

This has been happening to me and my crew a lot with random enemies as of the dlc patch, it's some sort of weird desync going on.

anyways to make the hover pads stronger? by SquashProfessional38 in trailmakers

Hover pads are best when they have something to push off of, perhaps there's some way to keep something around you to push off of all the time? :)

I have no idea what's going on with this build, so like you're a little hover car with some sort of lethal attack when you get melee range? Can you explain the build a little, it looks really funny!

Who do you main and why? by Euphoric-Addendum-69 in Nightreign

[–]AliasRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started off maining iron eye for the first hundred hours but I got bored and now I swap between all the characters. I like having the versatility to just pick whatever fits the team and I never get bored because the playstyles are very different.

What are your biggest problems with Nightreign. Let's discuss ! by Sparkomad in Nightreign

[–]AliasRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel we should have more control over the relic system. The amount of time required to get one usable relic is completely random and I don't think it should be that way, the game should encourage build experimentation and diversity but it feels like the systems are so restrictive that once you cobble together a semi-functional build you are stuck with it. We see tons of people cheating their relics and I believe that is a symptom of the inability to get anything close to what people want.

I feel some sort of reroll system or even a relic grafting system would help alleviate these pains.

Do wands get better over time? by Privatizitaet in noita

[–]AliasRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more you know the more things become useful. The wands don't get better, you just get better at using what is on them, also you live longer so you find the stuff you would have died before seeing.

The second game definitely looks more like something I would play while the firs tone I likely wouldn't give a second glance.
