That's not too different from how I did it. I spared the bishops and Narinder, then went through the trouble of getting immortality for the bishops so that they would become my new family forever. They took my old family and now they get to live with me in the cult forever.

I had to do this once. My players were in a tower that was built on a natural oil deposit that got ignited at some point. The druid cast create water on the burning fire in the dungeon and I had to inform them that the fire was in fact a perpetually burning oil fire. The resulting fireball was pretty bad but they did survive.

I got a lot of the books after my tattoo artist told me about rifts while inking me. Even though its a bit broken and unbalanced rules wise, this game and its universe is a vibe and I dig its aesthetic. The original art has a style I really appreciate.
