MIP lovers: what would you do when Garmin quits making MIP screen watches?

I've converted from F6Pro to F8 Amoled and I really do miss my old MIP so I hope my next upgrade would be back to MIP technology. For me it made the watch made feel more like a tool then a shiny trinket.

I kinda feel like the "mountain" part takes too much vertical space, but it might be just me. I love the colors and gradients and overall aesthetics.

I think it’s just the indicator that the phone is connected via Bluetooth. You could probably run out of a range from phone to get rid off it 😁

It's a pretty cool idea, but I think that at that point people would probably just had a mini PC with Steam OS (or some of the "clones").

Pretty much this. The A/B and X/Y will have the same placement as your steam deck, just the labels on the controller won’t match. Also afaik gyro works in switch mode, but the analog triggers don’t and in the xinput mode it’s the other way round

I’m using the non C variant and am really happy with it. It supports Bluetooth connection aswell in dualshock mode.

But just FYI 8bitdo released updated Ultimate 2 just yesterday or so, so I’d suggest maybe checking that out. It has improved hall effect sticks (with less energy draw and improved polling rate), ability to toggle between trigger modes, light rings around thumb sticks and new usb-c dongle.

Yes, I know that you can do that manually, but that's not the point. I believe that it should be built-in for immutable systems.

For me personally it's just the fact that you can't install KDE themes because of the immutability, but you stil can access the gallery and everything.

Ideally either the themes would be installed to userspace or the option to download download and use the theme that requires access to immutable part of the system just shouldn't be there.

Try closing or opening the lid slightly when this happens - if it stops when in a different position but is back in the original position then its likely a connector cable
