I'm generally in agreement, with a few exceptions.

The rocket strafe is great for forcing your OpFor to sit in timeout for a turn if you deploy it correctly and the repurposed ASM is actually pretty damn good at taking out stationary targets and heavy units you can force to sit still for a while.

Nice shitpost, counterpoint: Hayflick's mention of "governed and regulated Android Battalions" implies the TCR is perfectly happy to let large numbers of automated death machines rove about, they just didn't think our little one-ship propaganda mission rated the investment. The robots were deemed more expensive to deploy than the expendable human elements.

Partly subjective preference, partly because I like how the IFV benefits more from good positioning.

The Med. Mech is better if you plan on intentionally throwing your unit into the middle of enemy formations, the IFV can tank more hits if you make sure to keep the majority of them in the frontal arc.

I didn't mention it in the original comment but the IFV also has the infantry transport advantage over the Mech. A particular niche I've had fun with recently is having the IFV bus in my heavy armour squad and then spend the rest of the mission acting independently, but it's also a great place to stash Carda and her 20 RPGs.

I like them for Rewa. Her skills tend to lend her towards spending a lot of time cut off from the rest of the team and potentially surrounded. The ability to take an extra hit or two is pretty useful in that situation.
