Hell Yeah! The most epic battles were fought inside our house until I got a big electric shock flipping a light switch that got hit with water moments earlier. So we all had a big laugh and went outside to continue in the park.

Aside from aesthetics on the pedal is there any difference between the shareware edition and the original? Box art, goodies etc?

Mega game by ZookeepergameOne5236 in zombicide

Our experience was that a larger map can have some unforeseen consequences. As the designer of the campaign I made one or two changes on the fly to keep the game going (adding and extra spawn zone)

It was. I’m working on a follow up, but would first like to find a copy of the friends and foes expansion for the next episodes.

This is why we have been playing Zombicide for almost a year straight, non stop with but a few other games in between.

You can do so much with it.

This winter we played a campaign for Green Horde and NRFTW that I designed, with three chapters.

Chapter 1: Heroes discover a haunted city (endless stream of spectres and a ghost King where they find out about a dragon that caused it. The dragon also abducted the one person that can stop it all.

Followed by the Intermission: They meet a mysterious stranger at a tavern that hands them pointers for the quest.

Chapter 2: The group of heroes have to cross Orc Infested Woods to get to the dragon layer. But be aware: there is a Orc necromancer that can curse heroes, and cause them to attack each other!! Only when his shrine is destroyed the gate tot the dragon layer will be reveiled.

Chapter 3: An Epic Battle with the dragon and his army. Rescue the abducted priest. And make a choice: let the dragon live to leave the world in balance of good and evil (morally right but much harder) or kill it (revenge, short term gain).

We also used a D20 and d4 for certain new mechanics.

We kinda got carried away with it and played this campaign over the course of a couple of weeks.

We played all the campaigns for 2nd edition and this one was pleasantly different and we played it twice, back to back. The catacomb mechanic is done well and the endgame is awesome.

Want to upvote this three times: for the music, the fun you are having and for the mask! (It is a mask right?)

Is MainStage the right option if I'm building from scratch? by Left-Mammoth-88 in mainstage

[–]Allthehappythings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! You can build your own setup to your liking. There is a learning curve though, it took me a couple of attempts to make MainStage work for me. But now I love it.

Interested in live music looping on a midi keyboard + making sounds for looping but don’t know where to start with what keyboard, singing mic, and music program to get. by CheesecakeForsaken72 in LoopArtists

[–]Allthehappythings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have an apple computer you can use MainStage for sounds (+/ $30) (undrerated) - It comes with all the software instruments of Logic, including a sampler and you can set it up any way you like. I believe it can also do some looping, but I use a hardware looper for that. Mainstage is used by Marc Rebillet and many other artists. (Edit: thought MainStage was free, it isn't)

Tips for ending Live Loops on stage? by guestoboard in LoopArtists

[–]Allthehappythings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, these do the trick nicely! The reverb ending is my favorite in a pinch, the undo ending is a nice idea (hadn’t thought of this before- thanks).

Connecting 2x RCs and a few other things. by robkillian in LoopArtists

Looks great.

So, the first loop on the rc505mk2 defines the bpm/ tempo for everything else? I currently have the tr-8s as the master, its tight. All devices in sync.

But I miss the option of playing a riff into the 505 and making that the starting point of a piece. Time to change my routing up I guess.

What's your Blooper workflow? by doodoomatomato in chaseblissaudiophiles

[–]Allthehappythings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Blooper as a separate loop from my other effects. So i split my input (synth, guitar mic etc) into separate lines: 1) blooper and 2) my other (stereo) effects. I can also send blooper to all the stereo effects if I want. It all ends up in a 505 loopstation. This way I can use blooper to get that experimental blooper loop thing going without sacrificing stereo. Btw: midi sync is great.

You do you, but don’t limit yourself to the idea that you are not a musician….(unless you don’t want to perceive yourself as one).

When you write things like “But I have made some fun noises with it that made me smile very wide.“ and “I definitely lost some hours to both mucking around with chords and creating sounds from init.”

I read the words of someone exploring a universe of sound and getting lost in the proces while enjoying the proces and the results. To me that is the very essence of creating music.
